I wouldn't wish bearhood on my worst enemy! Bear=FAT!
Hey Guys, Let's be nice!
You know, if you're lucky enough to live that long, you may end up thinking differently about being a bear. And, if you don't treat them kindly now with some insightful understanding, when you're young, healthy and still beautiful, and set a good example, then don't expect young people in your future to treat you any differently. You reap what you sow, and, like a boomerang, what goes around comes around. If you help keep the world the way it is, when the shoe is on the other foot for you, you may not like it at all.
Technically, bearhood primarily revolves around hairyness, and secondarily around somatotype. The samatotype chiefly associated with bears is the mesomorphic somatotype, which includes big bones, being heavier set as in broad shoulders and wide hips, with a solid build.
There are a lot of very handsome bears with little or no fat at all. Some of them have very beautiful physical features and incredible physiques. They just aren't twiggy twinks. Neal has all the makings of a cub, as the young bears are called, because of his hunky build.
It's equally true that men in the mesomorphic somatotype, in most of it's variations, are prone to weight gain, especially as they age, slow down, become less active, and suffer the ravages of illnesses. This is particularly why you need to be compassionate and understanding, because these factors which are out of their control, are the ones that lead to the dreaded fat. Where is Peter Paul Rubens when we need him? Just think of all those splendid Baroque Paintings dripping in generously apportioned flesh. He made it all look so good and so healthy, including the Cherubs!
While I hope all of you young people avoid this as much as possible as is in your power, I urge you to be realistic as to what you potentially are going to face, and start thinking about what your Gay life will become when that happens. It makes settling down now, with someone who is going to still love you when your old and fat and take care of you when your sick look pretty good. But that ain't gonna happen when you get there, it's got to happen before you get there. Best Wishes to All!
