Quick question to current fratpad members...how is the current cast? Are any of them openly gay or bi? I haven't been a member in some time but I'm thinking it's time to re-join.
 
Most of them are gay for pay there are a few openly bi/gay models
but i refuse to pay such exorbitant fees to join a site.
Especially when there is so much free porn on the net. Plus i just would not feel comfortable giving a site my bank details.
 
Fratpad has not been the same since Dimitry left. Dimitry incresased the sexual chemistry at Fratpad a great, great deal. With Dimitry gone, everything is back to normal, which for me equals kind of boring. Dimitry also stimulated the sexuality of other guys at the house. Now that he has gone, these guys have retreated and lost their spark.

The new guys at Fratpad have not added any excitement and the return of Payne has not done anything for me either. I thought Wally had potential, but that potential has been lost.

Regarding which label applies to these guys, gay, bi, straight or gay-for-pay...I don't pay attention to that stuff. I just focus on the enjoyment I get from the site.

I'll cancel my membership and rejoin when something heats up again.
 
The thing that amazes me about this site is how the owner, John, seems to depend on curiosity alone to sell the site. Almost no news of the site is ever posted. They used to post here but no longer do. Details of the duos are not released. Reminds me of a story my ex-wife used to tell me about her brother. When they were little, he used to charge she and her other brother a quarter to see what was in his room. Otherwise, they weren't allowed in. After a while they always caved in and paid. There was never anything interesting in the room. That's Fratpad.

Another take: Fratpad is like an ongoing David DeCocteau film.

I will end with saying that Fratpad is the best cam house ever and it's worth at least a trial to come see what it's all about. I'll give you interactivity. Sure. Very interactive.

I pay for porn. I'm glad to support the companies that produce it. But, FratPad only offers rentals for its duos, duos that aren't available all the time.

So, interactivity is cool. But if I want to watch a video today and then again in three months, it will cost at FratPad would be prohibitive.

I respect the business model, but I'm not a customer.

The worst thing about Fratpad is that cameraman with his annoyingly loud voice goading the desultory performers

Do you mean that you get to download the video, or just get to stream it? Also, why do you lose access to it when your membership ends?
 
By the way... I keep my annoying voice out of all the duos! and you will rarely ever see me LIVE at Fratpad. More of a reason to join ! DOUBLE YAY!!!

I really like Fratpad, one of the best sites of its type for sure.

With that said, there have been some amazingly intersesting sessions as well as a LOT of downright boring ones..

The antics section is particularly good....Now, I'm gonna tell you guys what I like most: I like seeing guys interact together, especially naked. Gym, showers and massages are all great! One guy just standing in front of the computer talking and eventually beating himself off is kinda boring though.

Members I particularly like are Tucker from a few years ago...when he's nude, he can't stop touching himself...which is great...More recently I like PJ, Trent and the new black guy Kenyon.

My point remains. If I want to watch a duo right now, I have to initiate a member and then buy the duo.

If I want to watch it again in six months, I have to make sure to keep my membership active. That's six months and the cost of the duo to watch a video twice.

As I said, I am happy to pay for pornography. It's entertaining and I'm glad to support companies that produce it. But, Fratpad makes their products impractical for me to purchase, however much I would be an eager costumer.
 
jfrankie - To be honest with you , The Fratpad membership is more about the LIVE shows then the duos - We offer these guys personalities which is very hard to find anywhere. Majority of our members are at the Fratpad to chat and get to know the guys and build friendships. How great is it to watch your friend jerk it :) THE BEST !
 
completly agree with leo on why people stay at the pad and are willing to pay for duos.

hostmaster john once made the point that most of these guys arent looking for a professional porn career so they some agree to doing a duo b/c they know its not downloadable....
 
I think most members have kind of a love/hate relationship with Fratpad. The content is unique (which is good), but the way the manage the site is from a "got you over a barrel" perspective. Yes, if you purchase one of the duos, you can continue to view them as long as you REMAIN a member of the site. There are no previews of the duos, so you are actually making that purchase based on blind faith. And, believe me some of the Duo's are real duds. So since the duos you purchased (actually long term rented) can't be downloaded if you leave Fratpad, you are screwed.

Also, someone metioned the Antics section. The Antics can be quite good, but for members, they have not been updated in months. In fact, non members can see more for free at rockettube. They seem to put more time in rockettube updates than polishing up the Fratpad site for existing members.

Bottom line, Fratpad has a business model that they believe in and they stick to it They are pretty stubborn when it comes to changes.

I will credit Fratman Leo for being responsive to customer service inquiries. Unfortunatley, Fratman Leo does not get naked anymore. Seems like eeven the Fratpad Prez should still have to live up to the spirit of the house from time time to time? :)
 
To me, the attitude of management at FratPad is best represented by the fact that John (the owner) refers to himself in the third person when he does a very occasional chat with members. He is also extremely evasive in the chat. He "accepts" emails but NEVER answers any. I find the whole attitude very arrogant.
