Friday Night Lights

Yeah, all season, I've been waiting two scenes...

- Jason Street coaching Matt Saracen on QB duties.
- Lyla going psycho.

I finally got both and they were priceless.

That was great! Loved the whole Taylors-at-home thing, the guys on the football field, Tyra and her mom and the Taylors, TimRiggins and the bullies, and even Tim and the neighbor, cause THAT was kinda hot....and, yeah, XtremeLyla.:D So much goodness should NOT be canceled.

Whoa. What a stinkin' good episode. Got chills just watching the football game intercut with Tyra and Landry at the end. So we've got our villain of the season in Voodoo Tatum, huh? Awesome... cannot wait.

Things got really intense at the end there with Tyra. I'm glad nothing worse happened to her... but am sure her climb to a better life just got a big halt.

Favourite line of the night... "So, you're gonna go return some books huh." Zach Gilford (Matt) and Jesse Plemons are so good when they have scenes together, it genuinely feels like they're best friends.

Loved last night although I have to say the whole business with building an impromtu football field seemed silly and outlandish when you saw the final thing. Probably would have been only slightly cheaper or almost on par with having the homegame on the other teams field. Aye...

I loved how Lyla stood up to Jason. I mean you have to really love a person to stand by them through something like that. And even though this show feels as close to real as possible, you just know there's gonna be a miracle 'Jason walks' episode in a later season, if not next season.

I don't really like Landry (my brother calls him Butt Face..of course, he's 15...) but that thing with him and Tyra towards the end was sweet. I felt so bad for her but I agree, I'm glad nothing worse happened to her.

Matt and Julie continue to be cute but you just know Matt's gonna mess it up again, worse, somehow. Although, it'd be interesting if Julie were the one to screw up their relationship.

This is such a good show, I hope NBC does not cancel it. Kyle Chandler deserves an Emmy for his role as Coach Taylor. The impromptu football field was a little silly, but it proved a point about sports and money that the real world could take a cue from. And we got to see Riggins shirtless again, too. That is never a bad thing.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that NBC is renewing Friday Night Lights for next season.one iof the best shows on TV

Okay folks... season finale is next week. Hopefully, it's not the series finale.

Earlier today, 'Friday Night Lights' was the ONLY network drama series to win the Peabody Award. Comedies included 'The Office', 'Scrubs' and 'Ugly Betty'. Did anyone else hear that NBC just renewed '30 Rock'!?! I don't know what that really means for FNL now.

Back to the show. The entire episode seem like it was escalating into something some big with some much at stakes that the tension between each character was insane. That scene with Julie telling Matt she's moving? That speech by Tami at the roast? That little talk between Landry and Tyra? And the last scene in front of a mirror between Coach and wife? This show is too good.

For those Jubbers who just happen to stumble in, watch next week's episode. You'll see why this show is winning all those awards. On paper, it would look like a cliche show with teens in a small town.. it might even play out that way, but oh.. it's so much more.

overall i liked the episode. but i think they should have added something to the matt and julie thing. it was weird. it was almost like he was mad at her. there was something missing there. and not to be mean. i like the character of landry but he's pretty tough tolook at. i hope tyra doesn't end up dating him. but she should get a good guy.

I caught this show late but i really got into it as its a well crafted show, not in my top 5 but i quite like it.

The season finale is tonight, the big game.

Read on CNN,on Tues 10 April NBC ordered 6 additional shows for Friday Night Lights. FNL also won a Peabody Award for excellence thi year. Great show, great actors-young & old. Hopefully NBC will do the right thing, put it in a good time slot, push the show more and fully renew for the entire full season next year!

What a finale! In a way, it wrapped out so nice and so sweet for its Freshmen year that it feels complete even if it doesn't get a second season- it was that good.

I realised NBC ordered scripts, but that's not to be confused with actual taping of episodes. They're probably just seeing where the show would go before making a decision.

It's nice to see Lyla and Tyra actually talk to each other instead of yelling at each other. Also nice to see a mean streak inside my man, Matt Saracen.. didn't think that boy can ever get mad. For the sake of not ruining the ending for anyone, I wouldn't say anything about the actual game... not that it matters considering there are so much more going on outside of it.

So what will happen to our Coach Taylor and beloved Dillon Panthers now? TMU or good ol' Dillon High?

i liked it a lot. the only thing that was missing was the julie/tyra friendship and tami/tyra sorta mentorship. i liked how tim showed how he takes tyra for granted im just hoping tyra doesn't end up with landry that would be so unrealistic. isn't it kinda hypocritical of landry to go of on tyra for liking tim cuz he's hot and popular when he only really liked tyra for the same reasons?

NBC has confirmed it has picked up a second season of 'Friday Night Lights'! Go Panthers!

Of course that all will mean nothing if they continue to under promote and mishandle the show next season. God forbid they actually move it to Friday nights.

At this point, I gave up on NBC promoting this show. I'm just glad I'll have it for another year for myself.

Its great NBC brought back Friday Night Lights..and according to the NBC announcement this past Monday, Friday Night Lights will be seen on Friday nights from 10:00-11:00PM..Im not making that up..How cliche is that?..At least we get another season of one of the best shows on TV!!

Also according to NBC's website, they will be rerunning the entire 1st season of Friday Night Lights every Sunday at 9PM EST

And one more interesting note on "Lights"...according to his bio on NBC's website for the show, cutie Zach Gilford who plays QB Matt Saracen recently graduated from Northwestern University where he starred in the productions of Laramie Project and...EQUUS!!....Would have loved to be be front row to see Zach in Equus
