A week before my birthday! Will more-than-likely go to see it :-)!

The scariest kill in the first one was when the guy in the wheel chair had a knife thrown into his face and fell down the stairs.

The hockey mask thing is so old. If this "retelling" of the original is really going to have hockey masked Jason as the killer, it seems to me it's just going to feel like yet another tired F13 sequel, except that the story is starting over again.

This is what I'm afraid of too. I am on the fence about whether to go see it or not. I liked the "restart" they did of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and this is the same producer so it might be good to see the story refreshed. I may wait a few days and see what the word of mouth is about it.

They should focus more on Jason's backstory, his childhood and why he's driven to kill. I think that could be interesting.

hehe that was in the 2nd friday and it was a machete.

the killer in the original friday was pamela vorhees, jason's mother (and to me that was the best one) they would add some background to jason's story with her mother but it was announced that in order to shorten the movie to 90 mins, they cut all the mother's scene from the remake (and the only reason why i was gonna watch it lol)at least i hope they make it to the dvd.

remakes are usually pointless (just look at what they did to halloween,my all time favorite horror movie),but this one looks pretty decent.

I enjoyed the Psycho remake and Texas Chainsaw Massacre as well but the originals are always better.

This "refreshed" version, to begin with, features a more menacing Jason. If you pay attention to the last murder shown on the trailer you will see he's faster now, kind of athletic, instead of the old semi-paralyzed serial killer from the earlier chapters.

Just watched the trailer. Wow!

The remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre was pretty good and very modern. I think this Friday the 13th remake will be awesome judging by the trailer, but I'm wondering which one in the series they're remaking? Because Jason wasn't the murderer in the first.

He does seem more aggressive and faster. Usually he just walks in a fast pace. He seems more threatening and frightening this way. I look forward to seeing him unmasked.

I don't recall him being semi paralyzed. I always thought he was a mentally retarded freak, and by the shape of his skull when he's unmasked he seems to be suffering from microcephaly like this pic:

"mentally retarded freak"...is it wrong that that made me lol? anyway i'm actually looking forward to this movie now. i'm hoping Jared Padalecki gets his clothes sliced RIGHT OFF!!!
it would be sweet if they had cameos from stars of the original series. i'd love to see what Thom Matthews("Tommy" part 6) looks like today. just watched him in "Return of the Living Dead" and was reminded how fucking hot he was back then.

Wow, I had heard about this movie and was thinking it wouldn't be that good but the trailer has me thinking otherwise.....looks like it will be a good one!

that's probably what i hated MOST about the Halloween remake. for me it's alot scarier NOT knowing why they are the way they are. i actually felt sorry for Michael for most of the film.

Where's the unexpected killing of Kevin Bacon from the original Friday The 13th?

That's a classic!

Warning: This is the unrated version, so stay away if you hate graphic scenes.
