I was always taught that there are 5 Continents:

The Americas, Eurasia, Africa, Australasia and Antarctica.

I'm a Eurasian myself

Africa is attached to Eurasia, and so technically there are only four, but for political purposes, there are six, even though the separation of Europe from Asia does not make sense geographically.

Myself, like Nutty.........oops......LlerraD, learned there was only 5 continents, but in different division:

The Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia (Australasia)

Born in Asia, lived in Australia, now in the Americas.

Traveled across continents except Africa, Antarctica, and South America.

Central America mind you ;)

Yes, it's missing here.

I learned there was 7: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Ocenia, Antartica, Africa

That's totally wrong!!!

America is just ONE continent. But due to the large size and many countries in different geographic areas it's subdivided in:

North America
Central America
and South America

Central America is formed by:

Guatemala
Honduras
El Salvador
Nicaragua
Costa Rica
Belice
and Panama

more (spanish only)

Sometimes America is divided into North America, Mesoamerica, and South America. Mesoamerica is Central America plus Mexico. It's common in Mexico to see that division. I guess Mexico doesn't want to be part of North America - it certainly has closer ties to Central America.

North America, though I'm at home in Europe too. Much of my family is in Portugal and Spain

I feel so lonely here in S. America =/

Awww, dont' worry..

I was born in Panama (which is right next to South America)....

I also have Colombian blood (my mother is from Cartagena).....So I consider myself Panamanian (Central American)/Colombian (South American)

I am half-South American, so you're not alone.

I'm here. :-) (*8*)

Oh, and then there's that Jubber from Colombia...

I forget his name (he's the one that ends all his posts by saying 'ding').....Lol.....He's another South American.

So by "come from" you mean living on that continent or originally from that continent?
