Just got back from the neurologist. I had a couple of tests done for multiple sclerosis diagnosis. I was shocked with electricity over fifty times on the hands, arms and legs. Like that was not enough the other test involved jabbing with needles about thirty times in the arms, hands and legs. I took it like a champ and only screamed a couple of times. Fuck! It was brutal.

I've never had the electricity tests but I've had the needle test on my feet to test skin sensitivity and nerve damage. (I have no feeling in my feet, top or bottom. It really screws up my balance.)

I'm guessing the electrical shocks are to test muscle reactions.

I actually love electric shock....been getting it for my ankle.

I was diagnosed with MS when I was at the hospital for four days back in last June. Went to a MS specialist who has done nothing for me. While my primary doctor, my speech and physical therapists have told me that it is clear to them that I have MS, I still don't have a solid diagnosis, even though I have all the symptoms. Now I am seeing the same neurologist that diagnosed me at the hospital. He has been very good so far. He confirmed that he has other patients with MS that have all the same lesions in the brain and the same symptoms but stopped short of giving me a diagnosis yet. Also none of the medications prescribed have had any effect. I am in constant pain and have spasms all the time, need a cane for walking and can only do it very slowly and only for a short time. When going out have to use a wheel chair to get around. To ent this on a positive note my partner and I have been fucking like teenagers in the last few weeks.

I had a shock-test once a number years ago, as I remember it wasn't that bad...but it was only on a leg.

I've been shocked by normal 120v mains power multiple times over the years... that can give a far worse shock!
