This dog was only one of the more fortunate ones, because he happened to be rescued.

I think your thread may have initially been a "victim" of the strange scrambled postings, etc. that have been happening here recently. My guess is that Corny et. al. likely are working on solving the problem (and could indeed be why we haven't seen him posting at all in recent days), anyway there is something strange going on with the software here. Second or third posters' posts are become the Original Posts in threads, at one point I wasn't listed as the last post in a C E & P thread though the reply count was correct (and it soon fixed itself), etc.

By the way, nobody should consider this a complaint of any kind - just an idea why your initial post may have behaved strangely - they're doing what they can.

In 2001 My first cat who was 22 1/2 had cancer. She was always healthy and of course lived a long life. She stopped eating and a friend who had gone through this said you will know when it is time to help her leave this world. She was a calico and never weighted more than 5 healthy pounds. I know of nothing harder than watching her be put to sleep and then the final injection. I was crying and asked the Vet if he would take my credit card so I did not have to go out front. He said we take money to keep animals alive there is no charge and he hugged me.

Some people will never understand the unrequited love that comes from a pet.

my dog almost died 2 years ago. it was the most difficult year of my life. thank god he survived and is still with me today. he's the only reason i am still alive!
