Full Twilight Cast to Return for New Moon (2010)

Summit Entertainment has said that sometime later this week they will anounce that the full cast of Twilight will return for the highly anticipated sequel, New Moon, due out in 2010.

Fliming for the new Vampire movie will begin shortly after christmas, in the hometown of Forks, Washington.

Once the press release it out, I will post it.

I can't wait for this movie!

I currently just finished reading Midnight Sun- or what Stephenie Meyer completed.I have to say I really do prefer it over Twilight- Bella's perspective. I'm just mad it leaked and she didn't get the chance to finish it.

I totally agree. Its is so much more interesting through his mind! I really wish she would get off her high horse and finish it. What I really want is for her to write New Moon in his perspective because Im dying to know exactly what was doing on when he was gone.

Hopefully it will be less cheesy with a new director. I hates it it was too campy and when Edwards showed his sparkly chest and said "THIS IS WHAT I AM!" i burst out laughing and in the Bio class when Edward couldn't stand to smell bella. that was the most horrible performance i have seen in a long time...

Too bad the producers decided not to hire director Catherine Hardwicke for the sequel.

Well it wasn't the Producers fault for not rehiring the original director, it was a timing issue. They want to push the second flim so it will come out next Christmas, and Hardwick is already working on another project and would have needed time to develop a script of her own.

And to Talkin, Taylor Launter, will only be 17 this time next year.

Well it wasn't the Producers fault for not rehiring the original director, it was a timing issue. They want to push the second flim so it will come out next Christmas, and Hardwick is already working on another project and would have needed time to develop a script of her own.

According to Hardwick, she was ready and able to direct the sequel but the producers never made her an offer.

Perhaps the bad relantionship they had during the shooting of "Twilight" affected her involvement on the sequel.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke will not be directing it’s sequel, New Moon. The news first broke on Deadline Hollywood, where it stated that Hardwick “was ‘difficult’ and ‘irrational’ during the making of Twilight”. However, Summit Entertainment quickly released a statement on the matter:

Summit Entertainment announced today that the filmmaker will not be directing the next installment in the newly minted “Twilight” film franchise. Summit’s targeted end of 2009 or early 2010 release of the film, New Moon, does not work with Ms. Hardwicke’s required prep time to bring her vision of the film to the big screen. Thus as has been done before with many successful film franchises, the studio will employ a new director for New Moon.


Question: If it was indeed a matter of time the departure of Hardwicke, why they still don't have a new director attached to the project?
