Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Kulindahr, i truly do enjoy your truly flippant and cursory dismissals of all the funny, insightful pictures you disapprove of. It reminds me of a rote recitation of the rosary.

But again I am off topic, and I promised myself I would at least post a funny picture for every comment I made, so thank you to bort and johaninsc and aaggii for staying on topic and now I shall go image hunting.

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

The issue was throwing out scientific explanations and replacing them with supernatural ones. When someone does that, what the pic stated is entirely reasonable.

But you're going far, far beyond that.

Well, let's see if plugging in some examples helps clarify things.

Let us throw out the scientific theory that the universe came about from natural causes and replace it with the popular supernatural christian explanation that an omnipotent creator created it. The farip states, then, that this explanation should be subject to "empirical results of repeatable experimentation."

Here is another possibility. Let us replace the natural explanation that mortality is an essential feature of biological human life with the explanation that one man contravened this theory via his supernatural powers to return from the dead. The farip states that this explanation should be subject to "empirical results of repeatable experimentation."

Now, I don't think that's sensible, as I believe these questions are properly treated in other arenas.

However, it appears to me you disagree...

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Shaw's arrogance and failure to engage in study is showing. Only someone extremely ignorant could make such a claim.

Give me a break: even Shaw got that one right.

False dichotomy.

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

I want to know how they make it ascend. :D

You put a hook on the ceiling, and you control the ascension with some invisible string (like fishing line) that you attached to the neck of the doll...
