He talks about anger, attachment, pride and jealousy as if they are bad things. To me they are among the driving forces of progress. Anger at discrimination of women, attachment to the natural scenery of my hometown, pride about my identity, and jealousy of wealthier people is what makes us pass equal rights legislation, set up national parks, stand up for our communities and work harder to achieve financial independence.
