^^ Shouldn't that be a copy of DIANETICS and not the bible?

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

You won't bother to explain how that pic didn't expose plain contradictions, will you? And I am not being rhetorical, I truly need to know how you can read those quotes from the New Testament other than as rebuttals of each other.

It's called context. The same words in a different situation can mean different things.

Classic example: a girl screaming "No", "don't", and "stop".

It is funny how someone who is always entering this thread with the purpose (purposedly) of claryfing circumstances and dispelling myths, seems easily taken in rumorology and legend that is not associated with a cause to defend.
The specific case of Hypatia, particularly the gory details, like, for instance, that of the princess of Lamballe, is part of a well-established legend based on rumorolgy more than in clearly proven facts, that has been transmitted not so much as a reality as a symbol of the atrocities of dark eras.

Huh? So you think that because something may not be entirely based on facts, one shouldn't be as accurate as possible about the legend?

Wow, they actually got banned for that?!

Cyanide and Happiness has done WAAAAAAY worse things - and I'm a fan!

If I hung out in such places, I would have asked what the problem is with making fun of an ancient and barbaric form of punishment.
