I am reminded of the evangelist Charles Finney, on the occasion of a meeting with wealthy Christians when the topic of finances for one of his "revivals" came up, and they wanted to pray that God would provide the finances. Finney went ballistic on them, pointing out that between the members of the gathered group God had already provided: they could cover all the expenses and barely notice they'd spent the money. His point covers all these instances: God has already provided the answer to their prayers, in the form of means easily accessible to them.

I think such people belong in the level of Hell Dante reserved for traitors and betrayers.
