King David repeatedly asks god for his help, and god aids him. Thus the precedent has already been set. Asking god to help intercede is the usual modus operandi of the faithful. But when god does not help, and the rape is allowed, what does that say? That mere requests by the general populous of faithful is not entertained, but only those who maintain high office should be helped?

The god in the bible that the Israelites worshiped and alleged father of Jesus is by any definition a meddler in the lives of the people who do and do not worship him. The lists of things God does includes sanctioning rape and murder of children, and innocents, drowning everyone except Noah and his family, to killing egyptian first born, the fire and brimstone destruction of the cities of the plains to the endless pits of torment in the christian revelations.

The precedent of the Bible is that God rarely intervenes and then frequently not in the desired fashion.

BTW, according to the Bible there is no such thing as an "innocent".

If god were a person with a resume, all the boasting that he killed millions by drowning, burning by fire and brimstone, and unleashing armies to slaughter babies and enslaving women and children, is appalling enough.

But as you are going about saying because he is your glorious leader he deserves a fair hearing.... I think it says something about the moral highground such followers stand on.

Moral high ground is relative. A quality control engineer would understand: all flaws are equal because all flaws cause complete rejection of the product; the flawed item goes to scrap. To claim differences in the flaws means one is standing on very low ground.

The god you are describing is properly thought of as omnipotent, omniscient and libertarian.

But not omnibenevolent.

If there's a category like 'free will' which preempts the benevolence of god, then that god isn't all-good; that god permits evil acts because it values freedom more than goodness. That god compromises and devalues its benevolence in favor of freedom.

If a god allows evils like child-rape to wantonly flourish, it's improper to think of benevolence as one of its defining categories.

God permits evil acts because He is not like humans, who start something and don't finish it. He set the parameters of Creation, and if the Bible is to be believed, then the options are cancel the whole thing or let it run its course.

Free will is coercion by lake of fire and eternal torment. Choose to submit to god or face the his wrath for eternity free will.

The "lake of fire and eternal torment" is not God's choosing, any more than cuts and scrapes incurred by a child are chosen by the parent. The "lake of fire" results because God will NOT coerce.

There is nothing stopping fervent Christians from starting a "funny religious pictures" thread or staying away from this one if they find it offensive.

There is a whole forum available elsewhere for your discussions about the truth.

This was a wonderful opportuntiy to slam something much better in their face.
