False dichotomy.

Religion is never about facts, verifiable or not: you just believe or, at least, simply accept.

Not to a lot of people I know -- especially the old Intelligent Design club in college, formed of people who because of their scientific studies concluded there had to be a Creator... though about the only thing we agreed on after that was that since the Creator gave us minds, it was encumbent on us to use them, and well.

That would qualify as anti-Christ, since it has nothing to do with Christianity.

As I've gotten older, I've become more and more anti-religious. I see religion as a cancer on society. Even in the best case scenarios, people use it as a placebo to numb their fear of the unknown. Logic and reason are set aside for pacification. This thread is amazing to me. Religious people - particularly Christians - need to be called out on their bullshit. No magic man in the sky is going to save them and they need to grow up and accept that.

Wow -- what blinders you have on! In the best case scenarios, religion moves people to study the universe, care for others without asking a reward, and lots more.
