Cartoon???

Actually, in terms of property taxes I like a proposal I saw: only the portion of the property occupied by the building, and only the portion of the building used for worship or religious education, should be exempt. Big spreads of decorative lawns, gyms, swimming pools (I've stayed overnight at a church with a swimming pool), etc. shouldn't count. Parking lots are debatable.

But the big thing is to stop government funding of religion by ending the deduction for donations to religious causes.

But why do you persist in posting "cartoons" that show a lower intellectual capacity than that of the dimmest fundamentalist? Just as Fred Phelps and six-day literalists are superb testimonies for not being a Christian, you're at least as good a testimony for why no one should be an atheist.

By your approach, if I found a cartoon that said "Atheists -- pulling shit out of their asses every day", it would be "funny".

There are none. Oh, they might claim "Spare the rod and spoil the child", but that verse is based on the assumption that the child can understand the reason for the rod being applied.

These folks belong on the Ninth Circle of Dante's Hell. I'd say eighth, because they're obviously false teachers, but their targets are below the age of understanding for such teaching, which puts this in the category of betrayal of sacred trust.

Not worth revisiting, since 99.99% of the "lies" claimed by atheists on this board are actually the result of their own ignorance --or of believing the the six-day literalists accurately represent the Bible.

But Kulindahr, you yourself believe that parts of the bible are the literal truth. Big, important parts. Am I mistaken?

It doesn't seem fair to interpret the resurrection of Christ literally, e.g., and then poke fun at literalists on the other hand.

Perhaps it's just a little self-deprecating humor...
