There's no circular logic involved. A fallacy is a fallacy, and this time one was used to lie.

I'm finding that what this thread really is, is a demonstration of just how much the atheists here prefer lies to truth and scoring points even if it means throwing logic out the window. It's the same irrational bigotry the fundamentalists use against gays, except it's sadder here because people doing it here recognize it when the fundies use it -- and it shows the same self-congratulatory self-righteousness.
