Re: Funny Shrillary Cunton Cartoons

Senator Obama certainly must be proud of his supporters. Is it now OK if we depict Obama as a character in an Amos & Andy show.

Or, perhaps eating a big piece of watermelon.

LL - you need to crawl back under that rock.

Re: Funny Shrillary Cunton Cartoons

Lostlover, I'm appealing to you as a fellow supporter of Sen. Obama to please tone down the rhetoric. It's really not very nice, and it gets thrown back in our faces. I fully recognize that I have no authority, but I'm asking politely that you please be a little more considerate of our opponant. !oops!

Re: Funny Shrillary Cunton Cartoons

This disgusting, vitrolic misogynistic filth (i.e. the title of this thread) has no place in our political discourse. If this is what you call the "politics of hope" then I want no part of it.

Re: Funny Shrillary Cunton Cartoons

^I'll enjoy voting for Hillary Clinton, thank you.

Re: Funny Shrillary Cunton Cartoons

This political cartoon makes no sense to me at all.

I think it's a reference to the Kansas contest comparing Sen. Clinton to the woman who took Toto away on her bicycle in The Wizard of Oz. But it could have been a reference to Sen. Obama being like the tornados we had in the mid-south just before the more recent wins in Washington, Nebraska, and Louisiana with no reference to Oz at all.

In any case, while the cartoons are not bad, I wish this thread had a more restrained title.

Re: Funny Shrillary Cunton Cartoons

Construct, yeah, well, that doesn't even handle the lower half. These cartoons make no sense still.

Well, the second one, I thought, was easier. You see, Sen. Clinton has been criticized by some folk here and there for crying in public. Some have even gone so far as to view it as a disigenuous trick to get sympathy votes. I thought that cartoon was mildly amusing, too. ;)

Re: Funny Shrillary Cunton Cartoons

Jeez, they say the camera puts on 10 pounds. The cartoon makes her look downright FAT.

I agree with Lancie on the title. Hillary may be many things, but funny is not one of them.

Fair enough.

But you must admit these are pretty funny especially the tornado one.

Iman, at 63 I think it is fair to say that you'll be under a rock before I will be.

Thank you very much.

You illustrated what I was talking about with the prejudiced baby boomer generation you're in.

You felt threatened for whatever reason and went to make racial comments about Obama. What else can I expect from a child of the 40's (Hitler's decade)?

Ain't that scary? A strong educated handsome successful black man in the running for president?

I find the tornado one mildly funny, the second one makes no sense to me.

at any rate, i'm surprised at how immature politics can make people. you'd think it's football, not the presidential election

Don't blame politics for making this poster immature, he obviously has an ongoing problem.

How did the title of the thread get changed from it's original obscene, childish and misogynistic title?

I see...it's "absolutely horrible, awful, misogynistic..etc" but only when you make fun of my candidate. It's quite another story when it's done to the President that "I absolutely hate".

I refer you to any number of posts in the favorite editorial cartoon thread.

You can't have it both ways. You don't get to make fun and say how wonderful political cartoons are on one hand and then condemn them when your candidate is the target of one.

And people wonder why we Democrats lose election after election.

This thread is the saddest example of political discourse I've ever seen by people who should be working together against the republicans instead of insulting one another and their candidates.
