So did you have to back up stuff before upgrading? I know Tony has a lot of music on his laptop that he doesn't want to lose I will probably transfer his music and other stuff on the external hard drive.

I had a friend yesterday his Lion did something and I think it stopped working for him.

I did not back up anything, I just made sure my updates were up to date.
 
So does it overwrite any important files like does it delete music or whatever documents might be on your laptop?
 
It did not delete any music or my files. Only files it replaced to operate, and replaced those. I lost nothing at all that I was saving.
