Um yeah even when leaving hardcore gamers aside .. how about Nintendo? Nobody fucking cares for games on a mac, just recently a few became available. The only thing that apple does is sell mobile games.

We can't deny that Apple is certainly influencing tons of casual gamers out there which is a much larger crowd than hardcore gamers. It's because of the iPhone (or iPod) and how quick and easy it is to purchase a game on the device. I definitely think there is a strong influence from Apple now. I am unsure if it is the strongest, haha, we need more data for that.....

Well, they say "Apple" because they can't exactly name all the developers. Apple is the gateway to the developers.
I feel that it does have an influence in general, even if it starts at the mobile level. It definitely has hurt other mobile devices used for gaming, such as the DS or 3DS.
I do agree that it is sort of an insult, though. There are far more quality things made by Mr. Miyamoto. =D But I don't think that's the point here.
