Gangnam Style-yea or nay

I've concluded I'm socially (or culturally?) stunted. I don't understand 'trends'...the song isn't even in English, why is it so popular? Then I had to look at it from a sociological perspective...are people mocking East Asian culture and embracing stereotypes due to the video? I just think too much. :lol:

It has an interesting beat but it's generic. Could have been an LMFAO song in English yet wouldn't have been as 'big', in my opinion.

Yeah right??
The nerves of these non-English singers... trying and being successful... =;

:roll:

LMFAO, Justin Beiber, Rhianna, etc are also popular in those countries and they sing in English.

Welcome to the new global economy. Korean pop music is starting to invade America. Just because they don't speak English means nothing. As long as the beat is good. For a Canadian, I am surprised by your narrow minded views.

I dont think so....
English is the most attractive language in the world, maybe because it is the working language, i dont know... There are korean groups that would beat Bieber/1D/Selena Gomez because their songs are more catchy and if these groups would have been americans/british, some of them would have succeed. The Gangnam style is just a trend, i dont think Psy will be still famous on 2014

The most famous artists/songs of the history are english and i dont think it´s casualty

You can tell that to old people (grandpas and grandmas).
It is one of the most difficult language to learn with grammars, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, nouns, present tense, pass tense, future tense, plural, singular, male and female words ... etc which other languages doesn't have.

BTW, gangnam style is over

Nay with a fucking passion. One of the worst songs ever.
