That's just a health hazard....don't they have dumps or landfills?

Did you read the article? They're sorting through all that mess to keep it out of the dumps and landfill and to make a living out of the garbage they can salvage, sell, or recycle.

The Egyptian government killed their pigs, now the waste is no longer recycled, because the goats don't eat everything.

It's still a health hazard - all that crap next to living quarters ...contamination must be extensive...I suggest a more efficient means of disposal such as in an incinerator...

It doesn't work that way in Egypt.

The architecture of the buildings looks quite cool. Too bad the sight is destroyed with all that shit. Instead of living off of trash, that place could become more attractive if they cleaned up well.
