I've seen a lot of the fake Shirley Manson twitter pages. Have you checked out the link I posted above? If it's fake whoever is doing it is doing a great job.
Maybe that's why they don't have very many followers. I would think SM would have many more than 145.

Haha, nothing! I just created a replica of the Sarah Connor Chronicles title and used my screen name rather than Sarah Connor :)

I think she's gorgeous. Can't said I have much interest in any new Garbage music though. Their first two albums were great, pretty much defined post-grunge 90's alt rock, something no one knew better than Butch Vig anyway.

Bands from that era just can't pull it off anymore. It's always a disappointing mess. Smashing Pumpkins, NIN, Hole, Alanis, STP, Marilyn Manson, the list goes on. I wish them good luck in getting anyone besides hardcore fans to care. And I'm not sure Garbage ever had many. They might want to play the Queer card.

Personally I have always thought so....lol I love her voice and "I'm only happy when it rains" is one of my all time favs.

Rocker JON FRATELLI refused to give SHIRLEY MANSON a song he had written especially for her - he liked it so much he recorded it himself.

The Fratellis star rarely writes for other artists but the singer's manager asked him to create a track for Manson's new album.

But when Fratelli completed work on the song he couldn't bear to part with it and decided to save it for his own solo material.

He tells Scotland's Daily Record, "I don't really write for others. Anytime I do I end up keeping the songs for me. It's happened a couple of times on this record when someone suggested writing for someone else but I liked them too much myself.

"My manager is good friends with Shirley Manson and he's working on her own record just now. He tried to pair us up and I wrote one thing and really liked it and kept it. I didn't even play it for her. I just kept it. She'd have done a great job with it but I thought I'd keep it.

"I don't think people would necessarily like to sing the lyrics. Some of them are fairly sick."

Shirley Manson reveals that the band have already 'recorded quite a lot' of their new album and hope to tour next year

After a five-year hiatus, Garbage are making a new album. Frontwoman Shirley Manson revealed the band have already "recorded quite a lot" of their new record and hope to tour next year. "It's the first one in a long time," she admitted.

Garbage have been relatively quiet since 2005's Bleed Like Me, releasing just three new songs – one single and two B-sides – with their 2007 greatest hits album, Absolute Garbage. Manson, 44, had talked about working on a solo album, at least until she was cast as a cyborg in the (now cancelled) Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series. The only recent talk of Garbage was in a coy web post this March: "Guess who I just spent a week in the studio with?" Manson wrote on Facebook. "Would you be pleased if I said one of them was called Steve and one of them was called Duke and another was a Grammy-winning producer?"

Manson finally announced Garbage's return during a lecture at the University of the West of Scotland. "I'm working on a record right now with the band," she said. "We've recorded quite a lot but it's difficult to quantify. We're just winging it right now ... I took about five years off. I'd like to do some touring next year."

Manson appeared at the university with her new husband, longtime Garbage engineer Billy Bush. They were there to offer career advice to commercial music students. "When you get into a band, whether you are – the main writer or whatever – split the money equal ways," she advised. "Then you will have a happy band. They are doing the same work as you."

Two years ago, Butch Vig – Garbage's drummer and one of rock's biggest producers – promised that the band's fifth album would be "more primal and stripped down". "Absolute Garbage is the postscript to chapter one. Whatever we do next will definitely be chapter two."

Wish I knew about her visit back home, I would have sneaked in to the lecture XD

I hope the new album does their old sound justice, I think they're better off without Fratelli's song anyway, from what I've heard he's gotten quite arrogant since his band split.

Some people should learn to leave their ego at home! :)
