I was going through a box of old photos that I inherited from my Uncle after he passed. The photos are actually from his wifes family. Among the photos was this Christmas post card. My eyes about fell out when I saw it. I really don't know who they are but I wish that I did. Is this the gayest Christmas card you've ever seen or what? I think this is totally amazing so I thought I'd share with you all.

The crazy Jazz Era..?

Anyway, I prefer a more classical, more orthodox greeting, like this: http://www.chrisgeary.co.uk/christmas/ChristmasStrip.gif

That is a really gay Christmas card kind of inspiring in a way.

^ I was thinking the same thing.

What lovely frocks they're wearing!

OMG but do keep it..it really is a classic.. I dont think straights would be sending it..Did it have anything written on the back?

The only thing on the back is "Post Card" and "Place stamp here" in the corner. No stamp, no address though. It is a photo post card where the picture is actually a photograph so this one was not mailed but may have been given out at the time. I think it's amazing that gays at that time would do something so flamboyant. I've looked through the whole box of pictures looking for other photos of them but nothing.

Thanks for sharing. I love that card. I see they were using Xmas back then also. I hate it when people write and/or say Xmas instead of Christmas

Wouldn't it have been interesting to talk to your uncle about it! Who knows why he hung on to it...!

It's a cool card, I have not seen that many gay christmas cards. I only receive the classic traditional cards

STL, thats why I propose this is a collector's card..may be valuable indeed!
