I almost never go but when I do, I only go with friends...dancing, watching my friends sing karaoke, talking, and watch comedy shows. They are usually too noisy to really have a good conversation though. I don't drink alcohol. I have never tried to 'hook up.' Hooking up just would not work for me. I really don't want a quickee and I would need to know more about a person than what they looked like and a few basic questions.
 
I haven't been to a gay bar for at least five years. Seems my age may be creeping up on me. I do miss the dancing though.

When I walk in the door, I feel self-conscious and that I'm being judged by everyone else. They're like meat-markets and that's not the kind of atmosphere I feel comfortable in.
