gay bash at the barber what to do?

There is no way I would want anyone to go to this freak and pay him for anything. I think that Hotdog1846 and Randysayshi both advise you well. It stuns me that you wouldn't just get up and leave unfinished to find a decent cutter with a brain in his head. If someone insults you - and to your face, no less - you don't stay there and take it! My goodness, stand up for yourself, man! This you can do!(*8*)

I don’t know about the laws in your area, but in my city I could have walked out before the job was done and not paid a cent. He was not doing an adequate job by berating a customer.

I honestly would not have sat there.

If this was not an option for you, I sure as hell would not have tipped him.

No need to self-identify. The asshole has to learn that it isn't just "the homos" he has to deal with; we have families and friends and co-workers and neighbours who love and support us too.

My question to you is how do I tell the HOMOS around here not to patronize him?:help:

Well, did you personally feel assulted and offended? Or did you just find him to be an idiot/asshole....and you want to call him out? Based on the answer to those questions, you have two options:

1) If you just feel like he is a stupid loser, then just don't go back to him the next time you need a haircut---choose a different barber (or don't go back to THAT shop altogether).

2) If you genuinely felt your life was in danger and offended to the utmost, then go public with it, whether it's on Craigslist, TV, BBB, Facebook, Twitter, word-of-mouth, etc.....

From the "tone" of your post, it doesn't seem like you are THAT angered or overly offended over it---just seems like you think he is an idiot and that's all. I think you pretty much answered your own question.

I'm mean seriously is it worth that time to screw him over? It's not going to change anything, or his views.

You did well, stayed polite (I hope) while he wasn't. Tell your friends not to go there, and just don't go there again.

he chose to do a job that 90% of the men who do it are gay and he is against it? he must have hated everyone at the place where he learned how to cut hair... i think he's just a closet case trying to hide

The man cuts hair and he's a basher?

WTF??!!

I'm sorry, but these are really stupid statements....how can you relate barbering to homosexuality????

I know plenty of barbers who are straight as an arrow, as a matter of fact--most barbers don't think about gay stuff or want to be gay or are gay.

Now when you get into hair styling/hair dressing/beautician/makeup/cosmetics, then you can say that he is in a "overly gay business," but I don't see the correlation at all between being gay and being a barber....
