To some in gay community like myself it rite of passage to visit the baths. Never thought I would get visit but found the CLUB in St. Louis. First visit was little nervous but great staff and guys made that first visit real pleasure. Have been back on several occasions.

Having made my decision to come out at Steamworks in Chicago after advice from some on this site.....and dating someone that worked at the Crew Club in DC....Bathhouses come in all shapes and sizes.
I went to the Club in Ft. Lauderdale on a Saturday....they have a buffet (and not guys laying on a slab although that was also on the menu). There were some guys that were making out and having sex in the cabanas by the pool. I wasn't sure if I liked laying naked outside but found it was kind of erotic!
Take flip flops to walk around in; lube and condoms. There are condoms at most places but I find they are...well...tight. Walk around, see what you might like and then approach.
If someone is sitting on their bed and stroking, look in; if they look down, cover their dick or push the door with their foot -- move on. Same if you want to do it; usually pushing the door means "nope."

As an 18 year old you can expect to practically be jumped by the hordes of older men. you say your interest in older men is a "tad", well, expect a helluva a lot more than a "tad" (and they won't be looking like george clooney) available to you there. it might be overwhelming. wouldn't a 1:1 hookup, even if its with someone older, be better?

Clubs and bars are full of guys drinking, and on drugs. Most bathhouse encounters I've had were with sober guys.
And why couldn't a 1:1 hookup be made at a bathhouse?
