And that's what I wish like heck, that straight people understood that. I like what I heard someone say, once: "We gays are not 'those people'. We are your neighbors, your friends, your relatives. We are cops, and doctors, and the people who sack your groceries at the supermarket. We are bank tellers, and fire fighters, and ranchers.
