Hello their victims of discrimination.

I want to inform to you about the tremendous potential gay empowerment could have on all of us.

If we had more politicians, actors, celebrities we could find more power.

If we had more educational institutions and hospitals for gay men, we could become more liberated.

This is the time to gather our strengths and create a stronger group.

We should look at getting more power or a separate country for gays if we really want empowerment and autonomy.

We need more serious thinking gays who are serious about marriage and life empowerment than people who are mere attractions or get attracted to physical aspects.

We need to move outside the physical world and move towards the power zone of politics and world power if gays need the respect and empowerment they deserve.

What do you think?

I enjoy being comfortable with the entire human race whatever their colour, creed, sexuality, or politics.

Isolation is for losers...discontented with their choices, and with that in mind, I wish them well seeking their escape from reality.

What do you think?

I think your epiphany is a path many disenfranchised guys toy with as an idea when trying to find a way forward in a world that rejects gays broadly outside certain progressive segments of societies.

Your English in this post and the spelling of your username suggest it is not your first language, which further increases the chance you may be from a country that is even more repressive than the West.

Your low post-count after three years of membership implies you have been lurking, possibly a porn user of the site initially, or just as likely, an underage member who has subsequently become 18 or whatever the legal age is in your country.

In any event, welcome to posting on JUB.

My view is that concentration of power by gays is a dangerous prospect which has the potential to cause backlash and increased homophobia by a majority perceiving threat. Integration and alliance is a better strategy.

Also, a gay enclave is a bit cloying.

Why would we want a separate country?

I've spent almost a lifetime working for empowerment of homos. And I have been standing on the shoulders of those who started back in the 50's.

There is the western world before the Stonewall riots and the world after.

What we need to be doing now is continuing to work for rights for all homos around the world.

Not hiding out on an island somewhere.

Your username suggests you're referencing a person who is not destitute, dirt-poor or down-and-out or penniless, penurious or poverty-stricken.

Your post-count implies all manner of things but after careful consideration I have decided entirely to overlook it.

I'm empowered already thank you very much. Empowered to live in a community without fear or discrimination. Empowered to earn a decent living and live happily ever after with the person I love.

Gays should be fully integrated in society not living on an island somewhere.

... or we could just have less of the modern-day victim-hood mentality and just get on with our lives the same as everyone else.

I get respect when I eat stuffed cabbage.

And your user name suggests your an aging feminist with a postivie interest in the history of the working class and indigenous peoples. Unfortunately thats not true.

Or people can move the fuck on and stop giving a shit what people do with their lives, especially when it doesn't affect yours. I get that this is a hard concept for a lot of people though.

While having places where gays can hang out and interact with each other is nice, segregating ourselves entirely from the rest of the population is a very regressive idea.

Welcome to the Planet Rainbow :D

It would have been really cool, if everybody was open-minded and easy-going. :D

I'm empowered by my being born a Human.

I'm empowered by the very Life that has been granted me.

I'm empowered by the intellect, and talents, that my DNA has afforded me.

I'm empowered by the Luck that I was born a natural citizen of The United Sates of America.

I'm empowered by simply who I am.

That I happened to turn out being a Gay Male is only one aspect of who I am.

I might wish I would have been taller, though.

The only things that limit us are our own perceptions of how we fit into Society, and the abilities we have to make things happen. It really comes down to our own views of ourselves, and what we are willing, and able, to do.

"Gay" does not totally define, nor limit me.

Granted, that might present some challenges when interacting with others. However, as times have changed, and General Society has become more accepting, it's not quite the discreditation that it used to be.

I do not need "Gay Empowerment" since I already have "Personal Empowerment". \:/ ..|

Reading the OP's posting history, he is in India, or was recently from there. His perspective may well reflect an Indian gay perspective. I'd like to hear his view on how that has shaped his desire for a gay enclave.
