Hubby and I are planning a week somewhere warm in March and would like some recommendations for specific resorts/hotels you've been to, were treated well and had a great time. Links would be awesome.

Places in Mexico, Cuba, any of the smaller islands or Costa Rica are what we're considering, flying out of Toronto or London Ontario.

As well are there any specific resorts that we should avoid. We've read about Sandals and some of the places in Cancun not being gay friendly.

Hoping to pick up a last minute deal on something sweet.

Your input is greatly appreciated. TIA.

Beholding beauty with the eye of the mind, he will be enabled to bring forth, not images of beauty, but realities (for he has hold not of an image but of a reality), and bringing forth and nourishing true virtue to become the friend of God and be immortal, if mortal man may.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is very gay friendly

You have to remember that 90% of the people posting to this board don't travel extensively, if at all.

As well, a bulletin board on a porn site is hardly the first place to go for information.

Google.

Gay Friendly Travel Destinations.

By the way...we've found all places we've traveled in the world have been gay friendly. As long as you are too and respect the people and their culture.

Having said that, I wouldn't go to that shit hole Jamaica if it was heaven on earth.

People here are gay and some of them have actually taken a vacation at some point right? I'm posting here in addition to everything else we've researched to see if I can get some personal feedback.

Oh, my goodness. Do I have a resource for you.

And of all months, they're featuring Costa Rica and Puerto Vallarta.

I'm sorry I've never visited either. I have been to Cancun and it's fine for what it is; a big beach resort with not much especially gay. I've been to Merida in the state of Yucatan, Mexico, and it's enchanting. I believe there's a gay-owned guesthouse there but I didn't stay there.

The plane I was on, going from Mexico City to Merida, continued on to Havana. But, being American, I didn't stay aboard for the final leg of the flight. I'm sure that flight still exists, so you could combine destinations.

Have fun, get sone sunshine, and let us know how it went!

You are pushing your luck by going in March. You will had to deal with spring breakers. Stay away from Mexico during that time. It gets very corrupt when all the college/high school go down there, and plus the vendors jack up the prices.

So my advice to you is either go somewhere that students wouldn't go to or wait until late April to May to go.

We're picking adults only resorts and with hubby's job there are only certain times that he can get away and regrettably this is the best week.

Here's another one for you

Palm Springs, California

My partner and I own a vacation home there. The city is approximately 50% gay and the rest are definitely gay friendly

Go for the sun, golf, shopping, bars and restaurants. You won't be disappointed

Las Vegas is pretty warm at this time of year--it's definitely an adult playground and gay-friendly,too. But no matter where you decide to go you can find gay-friendly accommodations at http://www.purpleroofs.com/. Wherever you go, have fun!
