OMG I GOT A PS3
I got the Best Buy Black Friday Bundle. It kicks ass. It came with LBP GOTY, Modnation Racers, and Cars on Blu-Ray.
I also scored 3 wireless dualshock pro duo controllers at toys r us. They were 32 dollars. I set everything up this evening, updated the firmware, downloaded stuff, and downloaded the update for LBP and am doing the same for modnation. I downloaded a few games too. Worms 2 and Scott Pilgrim.
The PS3 is so amazing. I can't believe how beautiful and crisp the graphics are. I also got an HDMI cable. I tested out the bomberman Ultra demo and found the graphics were much crisp, clearer, and the bombers moved a tad faster than Bomberman Live. We got a 1 year membership for Xbox Live pack and we've been playing the hell out of bomberman live.
I'm excited for Battlefest. That will be multiplatform too.
The only thing I don't like about the PS3 so far is the install for the demos and content. I like that in the PS Store you can do background downloading. I have a feeling that is new. From some videos I watched that wasn't available at the time. I heard Home has been improved as well. I had trouble ripping a CD though. Wouldn't do the last 2 tracks.
I love the controller too. I was worried at first. I'm gonna get the family hooked on the PS3 tomorrow. I think I can get them to leave bomberman. I played a bit of LBP tonight too. Holy crap the introduction was fucking epic. I had no idea you could do stuff with the six axis motion either. I wish you could play you're music in the levels. But nice you can play it in the Pod.
Oh and I tried Hulu + too. Despite the cost I am doing the free trial. It's nice that it has the back catalog of past seasons for some shows. I prefer netflix on the PS3 too. The endless abyss of the instant que on the 360 was a bit tiresome. Nice that it's done in a checkered style.
I'm sad to see the cost of some of the games now though >.> I'm used to microsoft saying "ONLY 400 points" and having to the the conversions and remember how much it truly is. Or just forgetting the actual cost altogether.
I hooked it up with the 360 downstairs. Played some Storm 2 while LBP was updating. It's really interesting having both consoles side by side. I don't know if I'll use the 360 much anymore. I definitely don't really plan on upgrading back to gold.
I guess I'm now a pswii60 owner. Never thought that would happen. Oh yeah and now there are 4 controllers for every console except the wii. Need two more for that. Well technically PS2 and GC as well.
The only thing I haven't tested out on it is Blu-Ray. I can't wait to play my PS3 tomorrow. I can't wait to try out more fighting games on the system as well and figure out if they really do work better on PS3.
Oh and i got the 160 GB Model. I found out you can upgrade the HDD any time if you want. It looks simple enough. I love my new PS3

it'll be missed. But I've logged a lot of hours on the Wii lately, I rented the Darkside Chronicles and I think I may have screwed up my trigger finger but it was worth it.
