Gay Guys' Eyes - Never fails

Not all gays have gay eyes.

And some straight people have gay eyes.?
Gay eyes = eyes?

I wish it was that easy to tell, really.

Dude, sorry to blow your theory out the water but I have light hazel eyes that are very dry ( I know this becuase I struggle with most brands of contact lenses drying out)

..or maybe you should reconsider your own orientation?

j/k

On the topic, though, I agree to a certain extent. At least I recognize myself in your definition of typical "gay eyes". And I think I have the gaze.. ..or maybe we should call it the gayze. Haha.

Yeah I've noticed gay eyes are more misty/softy/dreamy. Kind of wet, glaze-y. There's also a more spark, they seem more 'magical.' Straight guy eyes are more concrete, and this also relates to behaviors and mannerisms. In real life it's much more subtle, but they do exist.

To be truthful, I have noticed the "gay gaze" myself. That kind of starry-eyed look that some gay men give you when they are either attracted to you or think they recognize you from somewhere. Sometimes its so intense it's disconcerting and I look away. It don't think there's anything physically different about the eyes. It's the emotions and and psychology behind the eyes that resonates for better or worse. Sad thing is a lot of gay men have gotten the hell beat out of them for "reckless eyeballing."

"it's basically my gaydar and every time I met a guy like that I found out later he was gay."

i don't think there is a set of eyes that characteristically belongs to gay guys, maybe your theory hasn't failed because you tested in places where only gay guys would be?,or only the gay ones would stare back at you?,otherwise it wouldn't make any sense..physically speaking..there is no such thing as gay eyes.

you guys are grounding theories and discussions on superstition.it kinda reminds me of my grandma when she used to say that you can tell if a girl was virgin by looking at her face, cuz they lose their "glow"

this tread is senseless.

maybe hes right, gay eyes are light colored and really dark colored.

Every gay guy i met with blue or green eyes, they are light. and every gay guy i met with brown eyes, they are really dark. never met a gay guy with light brown eyes or dark green or blue eyes.

i disagree,i have light brown eyes, and my best friend has dark green eyes.

To test your theory I tried this little gaydar test... if you want to try it just search gaydar test and it's the first result, I can't put up the link because I dont have enough posts...

basically it shows you a picture of 1 straight person and 1 gay person and you have to guess which is which. I tried making my choices based heavily on eyes and got 45% correct :\

The light/dark eyes thing is silly. I don't think it's true. I have light brown eyes for example. As for a general gaze there's an intuition when a guy is checking you out from his eyes, color has nothing to do with it though.

maybe this is more specific for closeted gays, but one thing i notice is sometimes they glance at you and then look away really quick, and then repeat the same thing seconds later, as if saying "damn he hot.....but i dont wanna look gay!"

when guys look at me in that way, my gaydar just acts up
i know because i do that as well.

Haha that sounds exactly like me! Looking away really quick! !oops!

But yeh I've always thought there was something in the eyes. Like my last crush.. he had light eyes and they seemed wetter lol. I kinda knew he was gay but nothing ever came of it... maybe he wasn't gay but I always believed he was.

I somewhat agree with the OP. But instead of trying to classify the eyeball and lid structure as gay I judge their gaze. I don't exactly know what it is but there is a way a gay man looks into your eyes that is different than a straight man due to lack of natural chemistry. I'd argue that it is the same look that girls see in guys that they share chemistry with.

Maybe?

very hard to see that sort of gaze.
Maybe a hidden camera show should be produced about the "gaze". It is an interesting topic.

i was just looking at the whole pic without concentrating on their eyes.
I still have no idea who is gay and who is not.
