How was it when you first joined under DADT? Have any of you come out to your co-workers? A few close friends in the military?

Yep I have, to my supervisor and some other enlisted friends. I made a thread about it. Actually a few.

How was your sex life before and after DADT? Ever helped anyone struggling that you noticed? How is your life now? Staying in.

Sex life hasn't really changed much at all. Not really, and life is pretty great. I want to stay in.

Officer or enlisted? The lives of both are sometimes dramatically different, so I want to know.

I spent 6 years in the Navy. Most in my unit knew I was gay. It wasn't openly discussed, but it wasn't hidden either. There were other things to worry about.

Sure, I came across the typical assholes, but at they end of the day they did what I said, so it didn't matter.

Enlisted AF, but you knew that.

When I was stationed at eglin for my first duty station, it was awesome. My whole shop knew I was gay because well they asked and I told them. We would go out and I'd get hit on by good looking women and I wouldn't bite. No one cared for the most part because I was a fast learner and was one of out top young mechanics. Do I think it would have been bad if I was a shitty airman, I believe so. Down there my sex life was so-so. Not too much action, but stints here and there. The funny thing is that I have sex with more straight military members than gay ones and they propositioned me. Also, all my friends knew in the dorms.

I PCS'd to to moody afb in valdosta ga and everything went down hill. This city is a shit whole. I got shit on sometimes because I still told if I was asked and sometimes had it held against me at work when shitty jobs came up. Then I got deployed and had sex with a few marines and assorted members of SFs. But homestation just sucked, so I decided to get ouy and have been since july of last year.

I live here now going back to school and it still sux lol

I did not get to know what life was like after the repeal, but know of a few instances. As I said in the dadt thread in CE, at least in the AF if one comes out as an airman (male wise) they better be strong mentally. There are all kinds of ways to fuck with you without overt hazing. Right now I am helping out a fellow airman who decided to come out in my old shop who came out as a SrA and they are giving him all the shit jobs as well as shit tdys. Good thing he puts on staff in the next couple weeks. DADT getting repealed is definitely a great thing, but for maintenane and security forces, it is still a macho driven culture where a perceived weakness is never a good thing.

Fort Jackson is based in my town so we get'em all here...I remember being with one particular Bi-Soldier that had Awesome oral skills...What was suppose to be a meet and greet turned into the 2 of us canceling our scheduled plans and getting a Hotel room....That was years ago but I still remember how good it was...

A an old friend of mine worked @ the Blockbuster down the road from the base and he claims Soldiers hit on him all the time and he Fucked around with several...

Blockbuster still exists? I thought Redbox and Netflix killed their business.

I've messed around with quite a few guys in the military. One of them was a huge, built marine. Extremely hot, but he was straight and just curious. He wasn't able to cum because he was nervous and I guess the experience just wasn't for him.

there are 2 army bases here, 2 marine bases nearby and a naval base an hour south of here. Lots of military men to play around with here. Some are more casual about it than others, but you can always find a some that want to have some fun
