No.

Everyone

Stop it right now.

People are still teasing that song. People kill me sometimes with their funny selves.

I don't mind the song, but putting that on a dating profile is just plain wrong!

I'd consider ot a good thing. It serves the same function as having "I Kissed a boy and I liked it!" in your profile did a few years ago. Is there an easier way to say "my musical sense tends towards pop, my sense of humor runs towards the obvious, and I consider 'applying pop song lyrics with tiny alterations' to be pretty clever" in just three words? In short, it serves the same function as seeing "absolute discretion a must" in a profile - it tells me not to bother. :)

I love the fact that everyone is having fun with the song. For weeks and weeks. And weeks.

But it has reached the point of just making anyone now taking it up and using it as somehow sad and behind the times...

My personal opinion is that it has nothing to do with having fun with the #1 song - that's fine. It's the fact that they use space on their dating profile to "have fun" with the #1 song. It'd be like me listing my SAT scores there. Yeah, I'd like to think I have every right to be proud of those scores. But I don't think the end result would be people thinking "Wow, this guy is pretty smart." It'd be "this guy thinks I'm going to be impressed by his SAT scores?!"

Or maybe I AM just too cool for those people . I can live with that. :)

I admit, I have used it on someone and someone has used it on me. Both times were a success, but yeah, it's becoming a little trite.

That song is the worst. Putting it on your profile is just even more tragic.

I don't mind it but it has reached the fad point where instead of being cute and funny, it's stupid.

Yes! They must stop! Now! It's a good thing everyone who has dating profiles comes to JUB and can read this!

No no no.

I don't care about the dating profiles.

I'm just talking about everyone everywhere from 14 year girls to 80 year old grandmothers.

Please stop.

It is a virus. It is Valley Girls all over again. It is Rebecca's song, Friday.

For the love of God and the children....please restrain yourselves.

It's likely just a headline (ala Grindr). I'm sure other things are on their profile of actual worth. Saying "call me maybe" (on a site where the idea is to meet someone new) and saying "I scored 1430 on my PSATs" are two completely different things.

...so....B? Again, I can live with that.

The Sesame Street parody was kinda cute. Can't post it, though, because there are kids in it.
