But the truth is that, at least from my short while on this board, a lot of gay men speak like experts on straight men and most of what I read is a load of crap to be honest. Well, kudos to you for spending some time on this website, which is generally more geared toward gay men & the gay community.

I am certainly not an expert on straight men, nor could I ever be one. But, excluding straight guys like you.........I think that if there is a group of people who are encouraged to be inhibited or repressed in exploring their sexuality -- it is probably straight men.

I get the sense that young women are encouraged a lot more to "explore their sexuality," even if that means exploring bisexuality or girl-on-girl romantic interests. And a lot of girls aren't afraid to be open about their bisexual tendencies, often to the delight of their boyfriends.

On the other hand, in American culture, exploring male-on-male intimacy for "straight" man is labeled as being "gay" and an insult to a (straight) man's masculinity and perceived social status. I'm not saying that straight guys would never secretly try looking at a little gay porn in the privacy of their own house. But almost all straight guys would never openly admit it, because they would be ridiculed as being "gay".

I used to think the same way, too. But as it turns out, I'm a self-identified heterosexual chick who does watch lesbian porn at times.
