I love the fact that there are this many people on here that not only listen to punk/hardcore... but listen to Fucked Up as well.

I've always been into metal hardcore and punk. Not into most of the guys that go to the shows overall it's a very homoerotic experience. Bunch of sweaty guys with their shirts off rubbing up against each other. In the last ten years there seems to be a lot more girls at the shows..but it's still probably like at best a 4 - 1 ratio.

No shit, the guitarist is HAWT (see pic) but they're not all that interesting to me. Haven't seen them live though.

im saying in the grand spectrum of punk and hardcore (especially in the past and current era of homophobic jock mosh hardcore bands) it is not so typical to be a 'mo (and especially out due to aforementioned bands). i know lots of other queer kids into punk and hardcore and the DIY scene, but the amount of them vary from a few to a handful in each respective city. i just find it more atypical to be into gay and into punk than say house/trance or bad radio pop. it's defying another stereotype of a stereotype i guess.
and i love Limp Wrist, probably one of the best (and hottest) shows I've ever seen. I also dig on Gravy Train and Team Dresch in terms of queer oriented bands.

LIMP WRIST rules, I've seen them a few times, and have a huge crush on the guitarist and especially martin. Los Crudos were even better....
As far as gay punks go, I've met a few, and on a punk/hardcore messageboard I used to read there was once a 20 page thread with a bunch of gay punks on it...was a VERY interesting read
and speaking of paytocum, I have to say that I havent been able to like bad brains after i heard "dont blow bubbles" when I was younger

yeah it's super shitty that they're homophobes. i can't lie though, i love their music. i thought it'd be kinda funny to post under that name, they'd probably hate it. surprised no one said anything about it before. as far as los crudos and limp wrist goes, they're both fucking awesome!

Meh, it doesn't bother me that much. They did a bunch of shady shit, period. Bad Brains still rule. I'm not a huge fan of the gay hardcore bands. Limp Wrist has a couple good songs, but for the most part, I really don't like 'em. Black Fag is funny to listen to every once in a while... kind of... but not really. Gayrilla Biscuits, again, not so good.
i sort of feel this way about bad brains too, the music is phenomenal, albeit they did and said some really lame shit. but then again so have a lot of bands and people still like them.
i haven't gotten into black fag, gayrilla biscuits or any of the more current gay hardcore bands. i still think limp wrist is fantastic though.

Yeah, I mean Ray Beez from Warzone encouraged gay bashing... Still love that band. It really doesn't bother me that much. I mean, it sucks, but oh well.
there will always be someone who says something messed up. i mean, i saw henry rollins speak a few weeks back and he said fag at least 5 times (despite probably being in context), doesnt mean i hate black flag, his spoken word stuff or lessen my desire to get him naked.
