Gay Kingdom on Tyra

The biggest douche bags were there butch dyke and the "masculine" gay guy, followed closely by the bi, the fem gay, and the lipstick lesbian. Not very good representations of any of their respectable stereotypes.

Hedda Lettuce and Sasha were remarkable level headed, though.

The transsexual was actually annoying too. She kept going on and on about how she's a model and saying she's part of the straight community or something.

Yeah.. as the show went on she got a bit tired... girl if you dont' want to be part of the gay community.. why are you here?

The drag queen was the only one I liked.

Yeah, I gotta agree with that.

I hated how the show had to get such a jackass to represent bisexuals and that people still think all bisexual guys are just gay but don't wanna admit it.

Meh. You all know I think that too.

Thanks for posting. I think this happens in the GLBT community everyday! It's sad but true. Instead, We should all come together as one...it doesn't happen that way.

Well.. should.. kinda... I don't WANt to come together with some parts of the gay community. We should support each other, yes... but I don't WANT to have a bunch of bisexual guys come to my bar and bore me as they go on and on about all the women they think are hot.

The usage of stereotypes might very well be, IMO, part of the point.

Why would a bi guy go to a gay bar to discuss women with you? If they go to a gay bar they're going to socialize with men about men I'd assume....

 Very true Jasun!

I guess you'd be surprised how many guys use the "straight" angle to make themselves more appealing. Sadly, it works on those gay guys who are obsessed with "turning" straight men.

don't ask me.

I assume they get around gay men and start to panic and feel the need to remind us that they're not like us? But all it does is make us roll our eyes and ignore them.

I think Jason said something about him pretending to be a straight guy who accidentally stumbled into a gay bar so he could attract gay guys.

I've talked about which women I think are hot in the bar with my two gay friends (we hang out at straight bars) but that's only because they are there in plain view and the women will approach me sometimes. My gay friends didn't seem to mind it though because it's a straight bar. I can see how what Jason is describing could be annoying though.

I've never TOLD a gay guy I was straight to attract him though. Some of them who blew me assumed I was and I just played along though. Who am I to ruin their fantasy?

Assholes = the two lesbians (wtf is a lipstick lesbian?), the bi (stereotypical bi douchebag named Jasen... oh the irony!), the gays.

Hedda Lettuce, I love you.

Sasha... LOL. Did anyone catch the weird TV static in the first video whenever Sasha showed her face and said something at the beginning? Kinda ruined her image for me throughout the show... kept thinking she was the monster chick from The Ring.

Oh, there's a lot of discrimination in the gay community. For sure.

But that group of people they had were mostly douche bags.

I've gotta finish these vids, I made it through the first one and agree about the bi and lipstick lesbian being douches but I liked the dyke, she seemed reasonable and laid back.

I've never seen it work. I've seen a lot of guys try to pull it and they always look like complete tools. Most people just laugh and roll their eyes.

When a guy says "I'm bisexual" it translates at a gay bar as "I'll let you buy me a drink but I'm going to ignore you and dance with that girl over there."

The only one I liked was the drag queen, Hedda Lettuce. She was very well spoken and quite humorous.

I did agree with the bisexual when they were talking about choosing the "outcast". The transgender kept saying how she felt she was a straight women who had relationships with men. The bi had a good point when he said that she did not consider herself GL or B, and had heterosexual relationships with straigh men, and he at least had homosexual relations with other homosexuals. The Bi was more gay than the Tranny, so my vote would have been to banish the tranny. She was also very full of herself, a trait I don't like.

I really don't get the hostility towards bisexuals. I've known bisexuals that have had long lasting relationsips with men, and I've known homosexuals who have never had a long lasting relationship with a man. Go figure.

Oh I did that once too.

I didn't really mean to. Maybe I better make a separate thread about that...

Let's hear it.

I gotta go against what most of you said here, and state that I actually found the bisexual guy very level headed and honest (he didn't said that gay men were beneath him, etc.) Also he stated that he could fall for either a man or a woman (which makes him one of the very few bis who admit to that).

As a matter of fact I found the masc. gay guy more like those bis who are very homophobic against fem gays or drag ones. He was a total loser.

Other ones I disliked were the stupid lipstick lesbian (Im sorry honey but using your sexuality to play games with other people for the purpose of getting ahead in life says that you are a bad person, no matter what sexuality you have).

The transgender also was a stupid one. HE (as he was born with a penis and testicles) kept rambling on and on about how model he was, how straight he was, how many parties he has been to, etc. I felt it was unfair to expel the bi guy instead of this fucking loser.

The fem gay guy, wasn't really that much annoying.... but please THE PIGTAILS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a gay guy he doesn't have a fashion sense at all.

The butch lesbian looked like a man, but was level headed, and she was right in telling the bi to pick a side.

And finally the drag queen was hilarious.

Meh.. he wanted to be King because he thought being bisexual made him better than gay people because "I have the best of both worlds." I thought he was a total douche.

+1

SHE should have been the concubine. She was a total whore/player of head games... the stereotypical gay person.. manipulative and deceitful... and proud of it.

I'll still call her she. But I would have expelled her because she isn't gay. She's straight. SHe lives a straight life and isn't part of the community anyway.

The fem gay guy, wasn't really that much annoying.... but please THE PIGTAILS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! For a gay guy he doesn't have a fashion sense at all.

+1. I have a feeling they went out of their way to find the biggest loser for that role.

The butch lesbian looked like a man, but was level headed, and she was right in telling the bi to pick a side.

Meh... If you're bisexual... that's what you are. you can't "pick" a side. But you dont' have to act like that sets you above, either.

And finally the drag queen was hilarious.

Love her.

How do you claim bisexuals can't pick a side and then earlier say bi guys are all gay in denial Jason?

So which is it?

^ You're prolly right about the bi not picking sides, but also the butch lesbian (which IMO was very right on the spot), said that the bi got the boot, was not much that we perceive them as different, but about how the hetero world perceives them. They, the bi, give them hope that maybe we can change)

IMO she should have been King.
The Drag Queen the Queen.

The lipstick lesbian the Concubine, like you said. Plus if someone does a research in history (like Pompadour, Du Barry, Montespan, etc), that´s what the Concubines exactly did (use their sexuality to get ahead in life).

The other roles, I will not assign, as they were pretty much stupid ones.
