Does anyone have any idea what this guy is talking about? It seems like if we let gays get married, the straights won't want to have children any longer? Surely that isn't what he is saying?

By legalizing gay marriage, however, the significance of the procreative element in marriage is utterly abandoned. Gay marriage is thus a threat to marriage in that it erodes the relationship of marriage to its procreative significance, which has the potential to result in a paradigm shift in the social relevance of marriage.

Such a radical shift will likely occur because the legalization of gay marriage flings open the crack in the social doorway to every ominous threat to sexual regeneration through marriage, especially biotechnology.

To the extent that procreative potential becomes marginalized in marriage, and as "advances" in the fields of bioengineering become capable of producing human beings without sex, then the regenerative significance of marriage will become all but superfluous.

Straw man argument. Procreation (sex) is a base human function, straight people won't stop having families because gay people can marry.

It seems to be the next generation of the argument that gay marriage will cause straight marriage to decline which has been proven false, repeatedly, using data from other countries that allow same-sex marriage, and from Massachusetts (which has one of the lowest divorce rates in the US.)

Next argument: gay marriage will cause beer to go flat, pestilence, and bad skin...

The only thing that changes is the fact that homosexuals will be married instead of just a couple. People will still have just as many children as before.

So all of those unmarried couples, single mothers/fathers, and teen parents that have children are insignificant to procreation? uh huh...

The last time I looked, the social relevance of marriage was a union between two people that wish to make it legally known that they love each other enough to bind themselves together by law. The only way procreation is tied to that is because when two people are in love, they tend to have children.

Start with a television.

Just a television in a box -- brand new -- that has just been purchased -- and is still in the box.

As such -- a TV in a box -- it is only a machine. New in a box it cannot hurt you. New in a box it cannot lie to you. New in a box it is neutral, mindless, meaning no one any harm !

Now take it out of the box. Put it on the floor of your living room, for example.

Now look at it. It is unplugged, not connected to anything. It is just sitting there doing nothing. It has never been turned on. As such it is harmless. It cannot hurt you. Sitting there on the living room floor, it cannot lie to you. Sitting there on the living room floor it is neutral, mindless, meaning no one any harm !

Now put it where you want it to sit, on a shelf, over in the corner, whatever -- depending upon its size and the layout of your living room. DO NOT plug it into anything. Now look at it again. It is just sitting there doing nothing. It has never been turned on. As such it is harmless. It cannot hurt you. Sitting there, wherever you put it, it cannot lie to you. Sitting there, wherever you put it, it is neutral, mindless, meaning no one any harm !

STOP AT THIS POINT !!

There now sits before you an enormous challenge !!

Most televisions will go through a setup phase during which they will try to search for channels from an input of some kind.

STOP IT'S PROGRAMMING RIGHT THERE !!

Tell it to cancel the setup phase.

If it will not, and insists upon searching for signals, let it search -- for nothing -- nothing is plugged into it -- NOT EVEN AN ANTENNA !!

Once it cannot find any 'channels' to memorize, it will drop out of the initial setup. Just turn it off and back on again.

Now you have a television that is turned on, and is GOOD. Because it is not receiving anything Evil, or Perverted, or Demented, or Directed At You To Control You !!

The challenge remains -- how can you use that machine (the television) without any Satanism and Perversion reaching you THROUGH IT !!

You are now at a point where you must choose what are called INPUT SOURCES.

However, before you do so, you must evaluate each INPUT SOURCE.

Satellite Inputs -- saturated with perversion and constant reversals of the TRUTH -- there a few channels that have non-evil 'formats', but they still allow all types of perverted advertisements and the paid-for messages of your enemies.

Cable Inputs -- the same as satellite inputs, but with less non-evil 'formats'.

Over-The-Air Antenna Inputs -- the worst of them all -- almost no non-evil 'formats', constant lies for Satanism and Perversions of all kinds, never-ending lies about the Truth, endless reversals of all decency and Humanity.

Line Inputs -- from VCRs and DVD Players -- the most easily controlled by YOU -- almost no advertising, which eliminates that form of brain-washing you with their lies. YOU can DIRECTLY control the material you watch on that television when you are using the Line Inputs from a VCR or DVD Player.
You can reduce the inputs from so-called homosexuals, so-called liberals, so-called democrats -- indeed ANY EVIL WHATSOEVER from coming into your house through that television -- by using ONLY THE LINE INPUTS from your VCR or DVD Player.

With NO OTHER INPUTS connected to your television -- YOU ARE IN CONTROL !!

If you want news, listen to AM Radio, or read (and untwist) the things that are printed in newspapers.
