Gay Mccain supporters (the straight ones too)

To be fair, Marley, I think your opening post set the tone of the thread.

These may be strongly worded but they're genuine questions. I think these are tough but fair questions. The republican party has a large anti-gay base so isn't it fair to question why one would support this party regardless?

Yes, it is a fair question to ask. It's why it's so mind bogglign to see peopel who obviously don't support the party's stances on social issues still support the party in this situation. that is because the "Republicans" of nowadays don't even stick to the other core stances of Republicans of the past. Government size and spending has been increasing under Republicans, both which are the opposite of Republican ideology.

Nowadays the republican party pretty much only mantains their original stances on certain social issues such as legality of homosexual marriages (which is still ironic since they advocate small governments and the government interfering with people's lives is the opposite) and leaving the poor to rot.

This is why it's amazing there are ANY gay Republicans. This party pretty much only exists in the capacity that it used to anymore when it involves social issues. If you don't agree with these stances, why the hell would you vote for that party?

Glad you're doing better.

It's a disease with gay Republicans. And part of it is self hatred. There are those gay men that marry and have kids that have sex with men on the side and vote Republican.

They're just as bad as the out gay men voting Republican.

My very sad point proven. How sad my fellow fags think I'm sick or diseased for having a voice and choosing to vote Republican. Truth be told, they are the most closed minded, repressed human beings in existance.

>>>The only thing that's to be understood is how a gay Republican can be so uninformed, as that's the only type of gay man, hell pretty much the only type of AMERICAN (who isn't in the top 1% income or a religious freak) at this point who would vote Republican.

I know plenty of intelligent people who vote Republican. And I totally understand their reasons for doing so. I don't think they're uninformed - they quite often are more informed than many Democrats I know. I think they've weighed the evidence, and found they favor the GOP's stance more often than the Democrat's. And I can respect that. I don't agree with it, necessarily, but I can respect it.

gc64s1 I appreciate your tolerance, as rare as it may be, but I refuse to debate my opinions on these boards. There is so much hatred against anyone who believes differently than the faggot majority (I'm a big old faggot myself) that it's pointless to even try and defend my beliefs.

Voyager has learned a lesson it took me many a wearying year to learn - it's not worth fighting a battle on enemy territory. Some call it cowardice. I call it wise strategy. :)

If you truly believe Fox News to be a 'Fair and Balanced' news source then you really need to widen your media exposure and open your eyes and ears a bit. A quick google or youtube search will show you so many examples of just how even-handed Fox News can be.

Im not saying they are perfectly "fair and balanced" but atleast they do question some of McCains positions, all other liberal medias just love "perfect" Obama, never question him

Wasn't that the reason given by so many Bush voters - he seemed like a nice, down-to-earth guy? You are voting for the President of your country not President of your bowling league.

I always thought Bush was an idiot, FYI. Im not just goin by him seeming a nice guy, I do look a his position and experiences.

That argument is so bizarre to me. You can't have Hillary, so rather than vote for someone from the same side, with a similar agenda to Hillary you will vote for a continuation of the Republican incompetence which your support of Hillary shows you so clearly oppose. Does that mean if your car breaks down but your favored mechanic has closed down, rather than go to the next-door mechanic (the one who's popularity has put your preferred mechanic out of business) you will instead take your car to the scrap yard to be crushed into a cube?

As I had said before first of all I see the vibe from the person, Hillary I trusted to do what was best for the country. If u supported Hillary and now are for McCain, ppl call you bitter, just not voting for Obama cause he beat Hillary. Thats not the reason, I never liked Obama even if Hillary hadnt run I wouldnt of voted for Obama.

Now I'm really confused. You consider yourself to be a social liberal but because Obama is not as liberal as liberals think he is you will vote for someone who has become MORE conservative.](*,)

And Im not saying because Obama is not as liberal as ppl say he is, Im not voting for him. I was just pointing that out. McCain has become more conservative while he is running, but that is not who he is. He is a lot more liberal than many Republicans. I like the fact that he is conservative when it comes to the way govnt should run and the economy should run. He may not be as liberal as Obama is on social issues, but he is not an old fashion conservative he is more open.

Are you fucking sure that if you support McCain and he got elected, then he will repair America????Haven't you had enough with the whole Republican and conservative thingie???:confused:

Do I need to say it one more time for good measure? Shut the fuck up! Let gay republicans speak. If possible, do so without calling them out before they even get to post their answer. Your democratic high-and-mightyness is scaring them off further into the arms of your supposed enemy.

Please and thankyou.

*As for all the sidebar chats, please respect the On-Topic designation.

I appreciate your attempt to have a discussion. I've never found that possible in this forum. You can't be on the wrong side of gay and express your thoughts here.

Ok, this statement is bull, no one is stopping you from expressing your thoughts, opinion, or underwear size. Express away to your heart’s content. No one has banned you or otherwise tried to interfere with the expressing of your opinion.

However, you don’t have a right to have people shut the fuck up and agree with you, or to have the last word, or even to have people respect your opinion, or to a hundred other comments that amount to , “If you don’t agree with me, I’ll just take my ball and go home.”

If you have no interest in people discussing your opinion, why the hell did you post in the first place?

Hey, Marley, clearly if the "gay" Republicans had something they could truly support in their candidate, you would have heard from them, so why don't you shut the fuck up. NOBOBY said they were a GOD because they will vote for Obama....I would say " intelligent" is a better word. As I recall, the Republicans have made it quite clear they think they are the only "Christians" here on earth. I don't see anybody twisting anybody's arm to keep them from posting. Do you? Last time I checked, there is such a thing as free speech.
