The truth is, you have everything against gay people. Even if I were to take people on this website to represent the entirety of the gay community there is no way that I could come to the conclusion of them having little to no morals. I get the feeling that you were under that impression before you registered or even knew that JUB existed, and these preconceived notions are probably what cause you to believe that what you read here could in any way represent a lack of morality on all of our parts.

p.s. People look at gays having sex and say they're "immoral." Will you allow us to marry? Gays don't have the same societal structure for their relationships, and just like a single heterosexual man with no marital restrictions, a gay man is free to sleep around. When straights do it it's them "sowing their wild oats," and "playing the field," and being "red-blooded." Then they so call "settle down" and get married.

good question. will gay people be allowed to get married. look i am not anti gay or anything like that, i just think there are gay people that make gays look bad just like straight people do but gays are more scrutinized because there are groups out there that do not want gay marriages happening. i dont think gay people will be allowed to get married because of the internal system. obama said he will pass gay rights legislation. i still think he wants to but there are obstacles and systems were the president can not do what he wants to get done.

i don't have anything against gay people. i just think there are some that make other gay people look bad. doesnt have to be gay people it could be any group.
let me give you an example: if i never met an african american in my life and the only thing i base characteristics of african americans is what i see on t.v. seeing the news i could see crimes that happened like an african american murdering, or doing anything negative. (not being racist), i will get negative perceptions of african americans as being criminals. (which i do not im saying as an example). The same thing could be applied to Gay People. the news influences a lot of people. When it comes to gay marriage, the news usually portrays it as a REAL BAD thing and how the public should not allow this and how it is a problem. do you see where i am getting at?

I love hearing this in the straight and bi guys forum. So, because I'm starting to get really fed up and am totally losing my patience, I'll just say, no, you're gross.

I agree here. Many gay men are quite snotty towards their own, regardless whether the the friendly gay guy is sexually interested or not. It's rude and such a turnoff. And it speaks volumes of "damaged goods. As a rule, I'm friendly and polite first towards EVERYONE, then I observe what the person's character seems to be. If they give me the cold shoulder, then I let them be.

I dunno about damaged goods, but I was basically gonna say the same thing til I realized it would set off a firestorm. And then I realized, I don't care anymore. It's true, it's a lot easier and less stressful to pick up straight guys than gay men. Snotty or 'nose up in the air' may be a but harsh, and of course I know lots of gay guys who aren't that way AT ALL (Jasun), but when I'm out meeting new people it's a LOT easier for me to meet, and go home with, straight men than gay men.

That snotty behaviour, bitchy attitude, and even the extreme flamboyancy I believe are LEARNED behaviours. Have you met many gay guys from rural areas? Almost all of them (us) are masculine, and even the more feminine ones aren't bitchy/snotty/stuck up.

For the record, I've never attempted to do anything with a straight guy. My best friend of 14 years is straight and we can have frank discussions about this sort of topic. Any straight-identified guy who messes around with another man at least has some attraction to men.

In addition, if I'm messing around with a guy, it means I like him! Guys who identify as straight but have sex with men are *NOT* boyfriend material. I don't want to deal with those issues. I'm out of the closet and have been since 17, and I'm not about to have to partially go back in it.

The TLDR is that I think cities fuck up gay men and promote cliquey behaviour. At least the nightclubs do. Thankfully there are other ways to meet good gay men in cities, like local gay sports organizations and stuff like that.

Well actually, I was speaking specifically of San Francisco, a town that I LOVE by the way.

And I'm only talking about going out and meeting people, and by no means am I saying it's 100%, either. I met some very sweet guys out at bars, and I had many gay friends there who were all super nice. I'm only saying that in general, when in bars going out to meet strangers. You may be right, that it's the cliquey nature of nightclubs and bars and such.

After I left SF I went to live in a little tiny rural town that was full of marines, some of them gay, almost all of them straight, and pretty much every one of them nice as fuck. So It may be a city thing, and I was just hanging around the wrong places in the city.

In any case, I'm happy where I'm at now I do miss SF though, for many other reasons.
