For the most part I agree with you. One needs look no further than the "My partner is leaving me because I slept with another guy while he was on a business trip" threads or any of the others like it here on jub.

Don't get me wrong, there are some sweet, honest, trustworthy. gay guys (like my partner of 5 years who I know I can trust), but sadly they are the minority in the gay community.

Having said my bit, I'll grab the popcorn and watch the catfighting that will inevitably ensue.

Of course we are! And we don't cheat on our partners, at least not in general. The deviant bi is the exception instead of the rule.

in a relationship - monogamy is maybe the most important part, as it's directly related to trust. if you don't have trust, you don't have anything. two people having fun together is what it is - but when they've decided to be in a relationship, trust is everything.

And where do you come up with these numbers? If my observations are incorrect I would like to see the evidence to prove it. Otherwise I will have to let the facts stand as they are: about 80% cheaters. As I never go to gay bars, I do not include those numbers in my calculations, just my own personal observations of those I meet and those who post here on jub.

I never said all gay, just the majority of those I've met. I have to laugh every time I see a new thread where someone is crying about how his partner is so mean to leave him, all because he slept with an ex-boyfriend while the partner was at work or on a business trip or whatever.

As far as gay flamers, as far as I've seen it stands about 30% are. The other 70% are the flame free variety.

This is all based on personal observation.

I had a friend who was in a loving, committed, trustworthy, honest relationship for 7 years; or so he thought.

Turns out the douche was cheating on him for 5 of those 7 years.




I guess you never really know/trust anyone. :(

The divorce rate is over 50%. . .80% of all relationships end due to infidelity. Conservative religious marriages are twice as likely to end in divorce. Those figure are only for heterosexual couples.

There are a LOT of girls out there who complain about guys who only want to fuck them, and never call them again. Straight men cheat, and aren't interested in being monogamous either.

Conclusion: Monogamy and commitment are very rare in relationships, no matter who you are. People have to search all their lives for that.

Many straight marriages do end in divorce, BUT not all because the man is cheating. Many because the wife is cheating, or because of spousal abuse, inability to reconcile finances together or a variety of other minuscule issues that wouldn't come up if they had taken the time to get to know each other instead of rushing to the alter to tie the knot.
