I loved 52 and Countdown too!! I only read a few issues of Trinity and had to stop because of school.

Looks like Wonder Woman is dead for now. They are having all kinds of issues with her. So, I just TRIED to read the Trinity trades. Wow, those were really really bad. I was shocked. DC did great with 52 and Countdown was good in my opinion. But Trinity was awful. DC needs to stop these big events. Does Marvel still do the big events? DC I am up on but Marvel not so much. I know Marvel just did the whole Skrull thing.
Do not check out Gail Simone. She fucked Wonder Woman up! Awful! I have all the Wonder Woman trades. The first 4 Perez trades are worth a read. They are very good. I wish they would have done Jiminez whole run in trade. He did some great stuff with her. Rucka's run was not bad. I wasn't a fan of the art and the whole diplomat thing. My all time fav run was started in issue 288 of the first series. That's the issue that introduced the W on her costume. That was the best run. It was the run that introduced Silver Swan. Those were dark issues. Very well written and drawn. Love to see those in trade. I have a lot of her first run in boxes. If you want to read Wonder Woman stories check out the stories written by George Perez, Phil Jiminez, Greg Rucka or Gail Simone. Those are the best.
Marvel finished with the skrull thing three years ago. They've got a new event this year called "Fear Itself".
NBC Orders Wonder Woman Pilot
Just two weeks ago it looked like Warner Bros. Television’s planned Wonder Woman revival had stalled after David E. Kelley’s script failed to find a home at a network. But tonight Deadline reports the surprise news that NBC has picked up the pilot.
Announced in October, the modern-day reboot would return the DC Comics character to live-action TV for the first time since 1979, when she was famously portrayed by Lynda Carter.
Following some unease in December, when Kelley — the award-winning creator of such TV series as Ally McBeal, The Practice and Picket Fences — revealed he hadn’t “necessarily committed” to the superhero project, the pilot script was shopped around early this month. According to Deadline, NBC passed at the time because it was awaiting the arrival of new president of programming Bob Greenblatt, and “couldn’t commit to the type of license fee that the studio was seeking in order to do the show Kelley had envisioned.” With Greenblatt now at the helm, and Kelley’s new comedy-drama Harry’s Law debuting strong, the network snapped up the pilot. (Apparently Kelley knew what he was talking about last week when he said he was “optimistic” the project would make it to TV by next year.)
However, Wonder Woman fans still may have cause for concern. If Deadline’s information is correct, Kelley’s take on the nearly 70-year-old superheroine will differ dramatically from her portrayals in the comic books or the ’70s TV series: Here she’ll be Diana Prince, a vigilante crimefighter and successful corporate executive in Los Angeles who tries to “balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.”
Speaking of Wonder Woman, did everyone hear the news?

I'm not sure what to think yet. People want to see the classic Wonder Woman. Remember the first Wonder Woman movie with Cathy Lee Crosby? That almost destroyed the Lynda Carter series from happening. This early in the game though, are there not usually a few 'fake drafts' that float around to stop us from ruining it for ourselves? Let's not fear the worst.
Can anyone tell me about the Young Avengers with Wicca and Hulkling. DONT RUIN IT lol. just tell me your thoughts. I was gonna buy the original run. I like that they're gay so...i should read it.

I agree with you on that one. But I was hoping another writer would pick him up and continue the series with him in it.Also while i didn't particularly enjoy Gail Simone's Wonder Woman run... I DID like that she basically introduced an officially gay male counterpart to Diana with Achilles.

Did he? I am behind on books since I only buy trades. Is he a main character?yeah - i was bummed that she left the title so quickly because I KNEW that the next writers would not do much with him. But we may not be out of luck... Achilles recently showed up in The Outsiders.
