Medieval Times is alright... it's a fun show but the food wasn't very good, it's expensive, and the show would be way too long for the timeframe. D:

One of America's largest and most popular single-location, full-service, family restaurants, Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant has been serving up Cordelia Knott's fried chicken, homemade biscuits and boysenberry pies since 1934. Located outside the main gate of Knott's Berry Farm, this family dining institution actually formed the basis for the theme park itself.

hmmm....their corporate web site is down right now:
http://www.tgifridays.com/

I was just looking at the Portillos menu. I can't believe that they have fish listed underneath meatless sandwiches:

Re: Gay Night At Knott's Berry Farm - May 15th, 20

is that Mrs. Knott's place very good. It sounds like a big place that can handle large tables.

http://www.family-vacation-getaways...com/Mrs-Knotts-Chicken-Dinner-Restaurant.html

If we get at least 12 people, which I see as being likely, we can make reservations there.

Mrs Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant Reservations phone number---(714) 220-5055. If you call this number in the evening, then you will receive a recorded message telling you to call back between 9 am--5 pm. (Unfortunately, you MIGHT get this recording EVEN IF you're calling between 9 am and 5 pm!) Don't forget that Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant only accepts reservations for groups of 12 or more.

Basic comfort food not 5 star fine dining but is popular usually long lines if you don't have reservations, but then without the restaurant there would be no Knott's Berry Farm

TGIF's web site is back up. They must have been working on it:

Does that place have large tables or is it primarily booths? Personally, I think that it is important for us to get a large enough table.

If you come up with any other ideas....please make sure to post them.....that goes for all of ya! ..|

Are there any excellent mom and pop restaurants around there....italian, mexican, etc....local favorites?

I've always wanted to go to Medieval Times! So if I got it right: great fun but bad food and expensive.

metta, I don't really know the whole Buena Park area enough to know of any good food places to eat at, maybe I'll do some research or we can go off the lists you and Jory have posted.

I'm open to anything.....but I think that it would be nice if there was a place that was really unique that most people have not already been to and not expensive so that more people can go. Sometimes the mom and pop places are the best. I don't know if there are good ones in that vicinity or not.

I just wanted to mention that I found a place where you can get a discount for Medieval Times. I'm not mentioning it for the May 15th event because there is not time to go on that date. But this deal is $19.43-28.18, which does not sound bad to me.

I have never heard of that before.

http://www.piratesdinneradventure.com/california/buena_park/index.html

I find it odd that they do not mention what kind of food they serve.
I wonder if that one would work for us? Might be too expensive for some people though.....

Lets stick to something cheaper.
