The translation of the video is not quiet correct, marica (and all its superlatives) is an offensive word in Spanish speaking countries and is not translated as gay, it is more as fag or queer. It depends on the country. And it is a well known way to insult a straight or gay man.

And as you can see these are comedians that are making fun of the fucking gay stereotypes.

Yes, I understand what you mean, I used to live in Spain and I know that you commonly used the word in an innocent way, but in this side of the Atlantic the word may have a “heavier” connotation, as the worlds “fag” or “queer” may have in different regions and depending in which situation it is said, I am only trying to avoid any jubbers innocently calling someone marica, assuming it has the same meaning as the friendly word “Gay”.

And I didn’t said that I find the video offensive (I had a good laugh with it), after all it is a satire, I only implied what is evident, that it is a parody of the generalize conception of the “gay behavior”. ;-)
