I have noticed that in some movies, a lot of the models/actors wear some type of electrical tape or beige bandage/mole skin on their backs or arms or legs or sometimes hand.

Is that some type of signal/indicator that they use on set?

I noticed this mostly in bareback porn, so is that a way to tell the models which guy has HIV/AIDS, and which doesnt? Or is this just my imagination and the bandages/tape is just a coverup of the guys' wounds they have so it wouldn't look nasty on camera while filming??

Anyone else ever notice this and/or has any accurate knowledge on this?

It might be a signal to performers who's positive and who's not... it also just might be a fetish?

IT also might be to cover up bruises? If it's a bondage shoot, you'd think bruises would be expected.
 
Maybe to cover up a tattoo with a real name? I know one porn actor from my home town who goes by one name but has his real last name tattooed on his arm. Caused quite a stir in our small town when his new profession became known.
 
OH yeah, that's a goo point. I've had to cover up a LOT of tattoos with things.

I remember when I worked for Fratmen and Nash did his video, he and I spent about a hour covering up his tattoos with temporary tattoos. He had his name tattooed down his side and we covered it up with dragons.
 
That's a good point, I never thought about that---but then again I see alot of porn stars who are "named" one thing for the video, but their tattoos say something completely different.

If they are trying to cover up something, seems like they are in the wrong business.....either you wanna be in front of the camera and get paid, or you don't. If you don't want anyone to know your real name or the fact that you're an undercover fag to the point where you have to go out of your way to cover up tattoos with your real name (which is in itself signaling some sort of shame or self-esteem issues with the actions being performed), then don't fucking work in the public's eye as a gay porn star! But don't be greedy for the fame and money AND also try to be discreet at the same time! It just doesn't work that way---and you are bound to be called out on it.......
 
I saw another video yesterday where the guy covered up his lower abdomen (below the belly button, but above his pubes) with electrical tape...he had it plastered there....so I am wondering was he trying to cover up a tattoo or was there a scab there, or was their an ugly mark from some type of surgery or something?
 
Aside from real names (or wives' names, kids' names or their own), one very famous BB studio like to tattoo their logo on their porn stars. When those stars are not working for that studio they get creative and cover it up.
 
Allman could you post a link to that vid?? Just curious never noticed the tape thing before..

I'm thinking tattoos- bellow belly button i'd imagine would be a common place to have one maybe/

The electrical tape sounds like porn star Dan Fisk. He used to be exclusive to Treasure Island Media. When he started to do stuff for other sites the first few times they had him cover up the tattoo. The tat is the logo for TIM and I think the other studio was reluctant to advertise for them. Since then I have seen him perform with the tattoo uncovered.
