Gay Pride Info

That reminds me - I need to see when Amsterdam Pride is...

I've done Sydney Mardi Gras last year (was fun!) and I'll be going to Christopher Street Day Cologne this year. Perhaps I'll make it to Amsterdam Pride, but it depends on money and time. And if I can find people to go with (shouldn't be a problem).
 
Ares- One thing to remember about LA pride... GO EARLY.

Parking sucks in West Hollywood on a normal day, on pride and Halloween it's downright impossible. Traffic is ridiculous too so plan on walking to get to the actual event from wherever it is you park. The city suspends its parking restrictions on pride weekend so don't worry about needing a parking permit on any of the side streets.

I usually don't go to work on the Friday beforehand because getting home is a mess. We live on the next street north of Santa Monica Blvd, by Gold Coast, so pride weekend means we're pretty much locked into our block for both days. Too hard to get out and near impossible to get back in.
 
There's nothing like SF pride, it's so fun. A Filipina singer named DOA and Solanfe Knowled will perform at the main stage this year
 
Yeah... I'm excited for LA Pride. Might be doing a piercing demonstration in the Leather/BDSM tent. :o

Thanks Groover. Yeah I was kind of worried about that as L.A. traffic in general still makes me super uncomfortable haha. I'm coming from the valley but I was thinking about taking the metrolink subway thing to the Hollywood and Highland stop and walking the rest of the way. Mapquest has the distance from there at about 2.5 miles to West Hollywod, so it's kind of a long haul, but it might be worth not having to deal with parking. That's only if I'm going during the day though. If I go at night, I'll drive.
