Gay Resort!?

Hello everybody.
Going on a trip next weekend for memorial day weekend. wohoo 4 day trip!. Anyways, Im making a 1 day stop in Vegas from Sunday morning till the next day. Im supposed to hook up with a friend who will also be in Vegas. He's straight. But if he doesnt make it, which he doesnt think he can anymore, I'm thinking of booking a room at the Blue Moon which is a gay resort.

Ive never been to one before.
Any of you guys ever go to one? How are they like? What should I expect? Will I be okay going by myself?
I just want to go somewhere where there is alot of hot boys.

Never been to the resort that you're talking about, but my advice is simply to go with an open mind and have fun. If you're lucky, you'll meet a sexy guy that you like, and you won't be in Vegas alone anymore....If that's the case, remember that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, and have a blast!!

i went to a gay resort in brighton (england), and it's generally like any other hotel, except filled with gay men...most of the guys will probably be older, maybe even together, but i'd assume that other than that it really depends on the place itself and the people there/time of year.

but yeah, keep an open mind, be safe and have fun

Thx for the replies. Im not necessarily wondering how its like in Vegas necessarily. Just, how they are like in general. What the guys are like and the ambiance. Ive never been to anything like this.

Are they all aggressive and only looking for sex? Trying to do it everywhere? Am I going to run into guys doing it everywhere? Or are they more discreet and private? Are they mostly all old? Or is there a young crowd?

Im not looking to just hook up. Im just looking to have a good relaxing time. I dont want to see guys doing it everywhere. I do want to meet people, but I dont want to have sex with anybody and everybody, every minute.

Im thinking I that I wont rent a room at the resort. From the looks of it, sounds like most of the money Im paying is to stay at a place labeled a "gay resort." I think I may stay across the street, or where the bars are at, and stop over during the day.

But I'd really appreciate more feedback from those that have been to these resorts so I can decide what to do

Well I have personally never been to a gay resort. I am not sure if they would allow sex in public, I don't think they would. But I know at gay resorts you can do clothing optional. The whole sex thing is completely up to you.

I myself have never been but I am sure it is more like a regular "Resort" in that there are public areas to mingle and relax but at least you know most of the people there are gay. They have always seemed to me to be more about being somewhere "safe" in that you don't have to feel uncomfortable being yourself. Some people wouldn't feel comfortable going to a resort with families around.

But that is just my theory. I have been thinking of going on a "Gay Cruise" but I haven't decided yet.

I've been to gay resorts, one on Phoenix and a few in Palm Springs, CA.

They vary, the one I stayed at in Phoenix was quite nice, rather small. The entire grounds is clothing optional, lots of naked guys in and around the pool. Lots of couples tend to stay at such places. There was not open sexual activity at the one I stayed at there.

Palm Spings....well, let's just say it's a free-for-all at most of them. Many of them offer "day passes" meaning you don't have to be a guest there, you pay a fee to enter and use the facilities. Two I've been to there are similar to bathhouses, all sorts of sexual activity going on in the steam areas, or video lounge areas. Couples who want group action will leave the door to the rooms open, guys wander in and go at it. Now, it may not always be like this at all the resorts, but there are no bathhouses in Palm Springs, and it's a total gay mecca, so you can imagine. So, if that's not your thing, beware.

palm springs is full of them most are gay while some guys drive in circles around warm sands where the gay resorts are to pick up guys its well unique to say the least..
