Gay siblings

I'm the first born to my biological parents, but i have an older sister in my adopted family. I don't know what that really says about there being a gene or something, but i'm pretty sure it's a combination of nature and nurture.

i am el menor - the youngest - and the only gay child. i had no idea it was genetic connected. can anyone give some especificos on this and teach me something on it?

Of course it's genetic. Who would choose to be part of a group that's discriminated against? Nurture has nothing to do with it, it's purely genetic, otherwise I wouldn't have spent so much time wishing I was straight.

I'm an only child but I have my suspicions about a couple of cousins and a few uncles. Pretty sure the gay gene came from mom's side of the family too.

All my siblings are straight. Though I do have a gay cousin born the same year as me. And I'm the oldest.

If it is really a matter of genetics, there will be half GAY and half STRAIGHT, while the fact is there are far more straight in this world than gay. It's a choice through experiences!

Not true, there has been lots of evidence found for a genetic link with homosexuality. I read a very interesting paper early this year about a link found between the number of homosexual sons a woman has and the level of skewing in X-chromosome inactivation in the woman. There has also been numerous genetic markers linked to homosexuality in men and women.

I'd take it easy on that one.

Half/half is not even true for male-female, let alone that equal parts of the caucasians should have blue, brown, black and whatever other eyes...

It is far more complex than that...

Um... maybe for you. Not for most.

Usually the younger brother is gay. They proved that with research.

Its true for me.

Apparently they didn't include my family in that "research" either. ;) My younger brother is straight as an arrow.
