Yes but for gay men, in most cases, the partner is generally aware of the quickie status - with straight men, I have perhaps, three or four anecdotes where the female partner knew and agreed to a quickie.

I know it seems, on the surface, that gay men and straight men are exactly alike because we both enjoy sexual variety--but I have a gut feeling that we are different in some qualitative ways that we haven't considered. For instance, straight male sexual excitement is very much tied up with being physically agressive, implanting their "seed" in a woman, taking a woman's virginity, etc. Straight men are primarily takers, not givers.

I think most gay men are 80% giver and, perhaps 20% taker. Most of us (gay men) aim to serve and to please our partners. That's why there are so many gay bottoms and so few tops.

Straight men are, generally, less concerned with their partners' pleasure. Not because they are insensitive, but because they don't know women like we know men. Most don't even know how a woman's body responds and operates.

Straight and gay males may resemble one another in some ways, but we are not 100% identical.

How many exclusive gay male tops do we have on this board (BGP listens). I didn't think we had many.

Since when does agressive female=slut? :confused: I do see the point you're trying to make though. I think a lot of straight guys would be weirded out if a girl approached them instead of the reverse, especially if she made it clear she was just after some NSA sex.

No doubt! The proof is in the porn BOTH gay and straight men look at. The more I think about this, the more difficult it is to imagine the intricate brain wiring that determines sexual direction (male versus female attraction) does not also introduce subtle and not so subtle differences in how you are mapped to see the world.

That's why I still believe that saying gay men and straight men are exactly alike does not make logical sense. We have to be different. Our brain architecture is not even the same. Gay porn and straight porn is quite different and not just because of the genders of the participants. The whole presentation of the participants is different.

Psychological and sociological factors combined with individual variation affect how one sees the world. Sexual orientation is just a by-product of those aforementioned factors. Of course, heterosexual and homosexual men are wired differently in recognizing distinct differences as far as conscious and subconscious stimuli: pitch, smell, physiological differences, etc.
