Thanks, softmen.
More gay superheroes (possibly even more popular now) are the Young Avengers couple, Wiccan and Hulkling:
Wiccan changing his codename from Asguardian...
Billy (Wiccan) and Teddy (Hulkling) accidnetally coming out as gay to Billy's parents when they were trying to come out about being superheroes.

There's also the fan favorite on the young X-Men student cast, Anole. Without a huge fan response to him on the New X-Men official forums, Anole may have been written into obscurity or even died in an arc that they originally planned where Anole (aka Victor) committed suicide because his friends (some of the more prominent characters in the series) rejected him due to his sexuality. Originally, writters planned on having Victor commit suicide and for his homophobic friend, Julian (aka Hellion) to reflect and regret how he treated Victor.
But, thankfully, the fan response was so huge to the near obsucre Victor that they kept him alive and continue writting him a bit more prominently in the cast.
His group teacher was also Northstar, and when Northstar 'died' it became apparent that Victor was gay, since he took it considerably harder and stated to another advisor Xian (aka Karma) that it was "important for him to have someone like Northstar to talk to."

(The first pic of Anole sucks. I love the second one.)
Also, the now adult X-Men student teacher, Xian Coy Mahn (aka Karma) and former member of the New Mutants team is officially out as a lesbian.

There's also mutant character, Rictor, who remains ambiguous:

And even Mutliple Man, Jamie Maddox has demonstrated a duplicate who is gay:
