The author of the book series BOYSTOWN (Jake Biondi) is currently trying to get his bookseries into a television show, but so far he keeps posting male celebrities photos with the question "Should x be in Boystown?"

Hulu has a whole gay and lesbian tab for movies the tv tab only has Ru Paul's Drag Race and onle a few seasons at that. Other than that I have started watching Queer As Folk again, I absolutely adore Debbie!

Gay male characters on tv are always neutered. I've almost given up. It's incredibly unfair because the lesbian characters get to make out and have sex all the time. Why is gay male sexuality so taboo?

I haven't read through this thread, but there was a programme which ran for 5 seasons from 1984-89. It was called 'Brothers'.

From IMDb:

Joe Waters is an ex-place kicker for the Philadelphia Eagles. Now retired, he's opened up a restaurant. Lou is his older brother, a gruff construction worker. Both Joe and Lou receive the shock of their lives when their kid brother Cliff reveals that he's gay. Humorous situations follow as Joe and Lou alternately try to accept Cliff's homosexuality or cure him of it.

The episode I remember most was a Thanksgiving episode (Season 4) in which Donald (Cliff's gay friend) was invited to the Waters' home for Thanksgiving so he wouldn't spend it alone. Donald refused all invitations and refused to offer an explanation. The three brothers ultimately went to Donald's apartment unannounced and found him preparing a Thanksgiving dinner. They also discovered that Donald's guests were homeless people he had invited into his home.

There is a really cute Brazilian movie called Hoje Quero Voltar Sozinho, or, The Way He Looks as it's called in English. It's a tale of the budding friendship between a two teenagers, one of whom happens to be blind. It is based on a short film made several years ago.

I agree with this recommendation.

I would also add "Stranger by the Lake" which is a french thriller / sharp allegory of some aspects of the gay community. Quite explicit sex scenes, though.
